  1. I like this way of thinking and often when somebody younger comments on my age I sternly remind them that I already made that far and they did not yet
  2. this itself is not a sin, after all Titanic was built by professionals
  3. correct , otherwise we would call most retailers scammers
  4. not particularly Vietnamese try, I can recall at least two such cases with Thai boys offed from Dreamboys and Jupiter and two Cambodian massage boys offed long time in Pattaya
  5. surprisingly perhaps to myself / I don't wear jeans / I find boys dancing in jeans , particularly in those torn here and there , very sexy
  6. Probably there's no such thing as normal when comes to drink prices but I know what do you mean - if drink prices will be too low , bar may have a problem to make a profit in such secluded location. Krazy Dragon in it's last incarnation had low drink prices and did not last long unfortunately. One can only hope that savings on cheap drink prices are passed by clients over to boys sitting with them
  7. travelling with local anywhere may have many advantages main being that they may have a keys to door we will not but will have one disadvantage as far as I 'm concerned - I will be forced to look at the country through his eyes. No that I'm any better as I tend to drag my visitors to places here I like. So my advice , do day sightseeing alone and spent evening with local.
  8. perhaps you did not look hard enough and we kind of know why
  9. and he is glad you listened to his suggestion LOL Thank you for great and dynamic travel report and start preparing for a next trip , whenever it willl be
  10. Ever since my own uncle got fake 100 USD note from the Swiss bank I tend to believe to all stories even if I can' t relate them in any way to my own experiences. No doubt a447 had bad luck and he was not alone as I heard similar stories , although not with such intensity of occurrences but my experience from 2 week solo trip to Vietnam was nothing other than pure pleasure. Other than suffering very heavy rainfall while on motorbike in Hue only other bad memory I have is one of guides on day trip had his English so incomprehensive that it was being painful to listen.
  11. gay-unfriendly guy owning boy bar would be a bit of stretch unless he would put sign ' admission for ladies only"
  12. that 'K' must be definitely something and somebody, I feel kind of envious
  13. hard to walk from Super Hero Sukhumvit soi 81 or something all the way to Silom soi 8
  14. you mean boys from Cupidiol don't smoke?
  15. two farangs have chat over drinks while two offed boys are bored across the table and glued to their phones ?
  16. Here I'm with paulsf , firecat and others who did not suffer any scams neither in Vietnam nor Thailand. I had blast in both and can't recall any scams going my way. I'd not call boy who promises long time and is looking to leave after 1 hr scammer or waiter who "forgets" to bring change another one , there's some dishonesty in that but scam is deliberate not opportunistic. As for Vietnamese boys I can't say anything bad but I did not have much of memorable experiences with them as well , so Id say positive but nothing thrilling. For me somehow Lao boys placed themselves firmly on the top on my ranks. for visit all 5 countries in the region / Thailand, Burma, Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam / are worth every effort and every penny as vacation destination and when comes to Vietnam I'm in camp who likes north much more than south
  17. isn't a whole point of travelling to see the sights and do things we don't have at home ?. Its hard to be in Oklahoma and swim in the sea at the same time and no Russian ever came to Thailand to see the snow. I don't defend smokers in bars but sometimes think we in the west are overregulated. Not that Thailand is free of that sin - see ban on food and drinks in BTS, , granted it helps to keep it pristine clean. I like smokers - they help to keep Earth from overpopulation
  18. love of coffee from Starbucks on Silom is what is bringing them back
  19. No , it's to keep Laos from attacking Thailand from seaside
  20. In my long gone student years when we were hiking with tents and non-smoking rules were only in early phases of gestation we developed very liberal rule as to permit smoking inside of tent - if smoking was permitted so was farting. Very few brave sols dared to test it but good laugh was had by all.
  21. Great report about fast paced vacations. Can't wait what excuse you invented about that hickey but truth is, whatever you say , nobody will believe it LOL I like second boy in thanaka series
  22. What an impressive admission of anti-social behavior ! As for chain smoking and suffering consult doctor or pharmacist
  23. where's relevance ? we don't fly to Thailand to be in our home countries ( Thai nationals and residents excluded )
  24. For an absence of serious external enemies this is all they need to stage successful coup d'etats with alarming regularity
  25. I quit smoking at tender age of 11 / yes , eleven / but when comes to smoking in bars I tend to have a liberal approach - it's up to establishment and it's owner to decide if smoking is toleraled or not. They should know better what makes business sense. As long as door are open I always fee free to leave if smoking bothers me or stay if it does but view of boys on stage is offsetting that unpleasant aroma. With dozen of bars available I feel I always have a choice.
