To answer your question I'd stay a week in BBB Inn, although I like changing places and try never to stay more that 3 nights in one place, in fact on every trip I use that place , last Nov twice at both ends of trip. Straight district Patpong is just across the street form soi Twilight where most of gay bars are located and sports even one gay bar- Screwboys in the midst of all girlie bars. So you can f....k your boys and your friend his girls in the same hotel. I doubt he would be opting for BBB Inn as it has this exclusive gay feeling but if he is adventurous, why not. Last Nov I was 2 nights in Pavillion Place right in Patpong and neither staff nor other residents mind me bringing boys there , business is business. Other straight districts are Nana Plaza and soi Cowboy along Sukhumvit, not really that far from Silom and easily accessible by both MRT / underground / and BTS / overhead / railways not to mention taxis and motorsais / moto taxis / As long as you stay clear from underaged don't worry about running into legal problems by hiring and bringing boys back to the hotel.

If you never been to Asia , Bangkok is perfect introduction as is exotic enough and has all trimmings of world class city at the same time. If you are planning April visit keep in mind not only Songkran but also fact that this is hottest month in Thailand. With 2 weeks at disposal Bangkok and Pattaya should keep you occupied, if you want top get away from the scene I'd recommend day trip to Ayuthaya and 1-2 days hop to Kachanaburi of River Kwai bridge fame. When taking commercial boys make sure they understand there are two of you to avoid scenes and nasty surprises. As for accommodation I'd definitely stay in Silom area, close to transportation, very central and most of gay life is right there so you can walk to all points of interest and it won't be boring walk, rest assured. Without knowing your budget it's hard to recommend particular hotels but at low and still comfortable end Om Yim & Natra Silom are in 900-1100 range , if you are looking for more comfort Tartawan and Rose are at 2000 range. For fun nothing beats BBB Inn at 1320 as place is right on the back of Soi Twilight where most bars are located and has it's own massage boys on premises so there are always some activities. For more upscale hotels others will chip in with their recommendations if you ask. In all mentioned you will not have any problems with bringing visiting boys. Don't pay any attention to us old hands complaining that shows in bars are boring as for newcomers nothing can be father from truth IMHO, try to see at least few. Don't forget Thailand is land of massages and there's plenty of places where you can have good massage by handsome boy of your choice with happy ending and more id desired. You will have fun like all of us here had

I only can hope that junta places as much energy in cleaning corruption closer to upper levels of society as it spends on chasing poor beach vendors. as long as I'm concerned any trip to Thailand is worth reporting, even if not much happens or much happens but poster prefers to keep happenings private I found trip reports energizing and rest assured I'm not alone in that feeling

what???? not that it did not happened to my boys but it would be extremely rare , I recall 2 cases, one, boy from bar was disaster on all measures so we barely toughed each other, second was massage boy with such ugly. silicone deformed dick that I did not bother getting there and don't blame him for not raising for an occasion either. as far as I'm concerned is in the boys best interest to get hard as my personal minimum tip is 1000 if boy lets me tough his hard appendage even if place states lower minimum tip

Late arrivals actually are making it easy as no need to split hair in 2 - taxi or public since second option is non-existent till 6 in the morning. So only decision to make is taxi from the rank or pre-ordered. Not only Tokyo but also Seoul, Taipei , Bejing and Shanghai connections all are arriving late and departing early creating need for taxis at both ends of trip and also under using rooms for the last night in most cases. But look at the bright side, midnight arrival means North American biological clock is at noon, better than European arriving battered by the sleepless night on the plane. An early morning departure means arrival home is at some hour decent enough to do some shopping to stock empty fridge.

Those days when all suitcases have wheels weight is not much of consideration for most of travelers when choosing between taxi or public transport. In Thailand like in most of SE Asia taxis are cheap so choosing 40 $ taxi over 4 $ bus ride from Swampy to Pattaya makes sense for many without sacrificing much in monetary terms. When arriving in London facing 15 pounds train option versus 100 pounds of taxi ride plenty forget about weight of suitcases opting for train. Bottom line for this thread is that in Bangkok we are blessed with few affordable options and in choosing between train / bus / taxi we have luxury of considering other than just price criteria like landing and traveling time , safety, convenience or just fun / not much eye candy in taxi /. There's nothing insane in taking taxi to get to destination ASAP for price likely cheaper than paid to get to airport at place of origin. Nothing stupid either with waiting for bus / train to save 1000 baht for the first off fee and enjoy better grasp of local condition on the way. Not picking up at anybody - look at me , for next trip arrival is scheduled at 1.20, even with taxi I don't expect to be in hotel before 3.00, so it will cost me 350+1350=1700 just to have room for 4 hours to be alone as at that hour even Patpong is dead. If waiting for first train at 6 .00 for 75 baht I could be at the hotel at 7.00 saving 1625, equivalent of BKK short time tip plus condom and lube. So am I smart or stupid ?

1 hr in Scandic was 1400, tip included so it looks that 1.5 hr is the best value, providing 90 minutes lasts 90 minutes , not 50., I don't mind system of collecting minimum tip up front if it preserves boy's interests against stingy clients as long as they perform Copa massage did the same , collected minimum tip up front and so did Adonis in BKK when I was taking boy out for long time. In all such cases I actually asked how much of the fee boy will receive and confirmed it later with a boy. My experience with Scandic was very good one with gorgeous Cambodian hunk.
