  1. also west australian here very patiently waiting!
  2. Agree! and omg Duean is hilarious. His character really is something else!
  3. sigh
  4. I've come across these videos on YouTube as well and I love seeing all of the lovely Thai men, but it makes me sad that I cannot be there in amongst the action.. soon hopefully!
  5. I'm planning to get the new iPad Pro and am pretty excited - I'm still using an iPad 2 which I bought in 2011! Apple devices last for ages if you look after them, and my iPad 2 is still going strong but it's just very slow (plus I need a bigger screen).
  6. I'm hoping early 2022. Even if Thailand is open, it really depends on the travel restrictions in my own country whether I can leave for short-term tourism purposes or not.
  7. Aww, that's a shame
  8. I enjoyed the food at Super Isan, right at the entrance of the complex. Really tasty Thai food at decent prices and super long opening hours. Not sure if they still exist though as the last time I was there was at the end of 2019.
  9. If it is of any use, there are many many videos on YouTube with people documenting the whole process so you can see first hand what their experience is like from the airport to their hotel, what the room and food looks like etc.
  10. That roof on Jomtien complex is new right? or have I just been completely oblivious??
  11. I would love it if there were go-go bars in Jomtien complex. It already has much going for it - it's walking distance from the bus station (the cheap bus from Suvarnabhumi), plenty of good food around, walking distance to Dongtan gay beach, a few massage places, and it's just kinda nice around there.. having go-go bars there would be the icing on the cake! I feel more comfortable in go-go bars anyway as opposed to host bars (and I'm sure there would be some who would be the opposite). Anyway, just dreaming!
  12. ahh yes, good idea! thanks!
  13. Hi there, I'm just after some recommendation of line accounts (massage places, gogo bars, etc) that I can follow that posts regularly on the 'timeline' section (I know that Prince and M Star massage do). Gives me something to look forward to when I am able to travel to Thailand again. Cheers!
  14. Ooooh thank you!!!
  15. Has the actor that plays Man (from 2gether)/Bone (from Love Theory) been in any other series? He is one of my favourites.. I love his smile!
  16. Because Khai treats Third like shit and Third just takes it!! Anyway, I'm only halfway through the series so I'm sure it will have a fairy tale ending, as most of these dramas do!
  17. I've been really getting into Thai BL series as of late as well. Finished 2gether, Dark Blue Kiss, currently watching My Engineer (whilst waiting patiently for new episodes to come out), and also currently watching Theory of Love (which makes me mad most of the time, but I persist). Finished Sotus a while ago too. Even though I'm not such a romantic person in real life, I really like watching these cute romantic series (and the guys are lovely). And I don't know whether it is just portrayed in these series, but does sexuality in Thailand seem a little more fluid than that in the west?
  18. I'm supposed to be flying out from Australia in 5 weeks (transiting through Singapore) but I've already resigned myself to the fact that I probably won't be going anymore. There are just too many unknown variables - the situation is constantly changing so I don't know what the situation will be with flights from Australia, whether Thailand will be banning flights, or imposing mandatory quarantining, and the fact that it's possible I'll have to quarantine when I get back, and many other likely scenarios. It's just too hard. I was really hanging out to see my Thai guys, but I guess it will just have to wait until this whole thing has blown over. I hope that somehow I'll be able to get a credit or something for my flights and accomodation (booked as a package through Expedia), but if not, at least it wasn't a massive amount. but I am thankful that the situation here isn't as bad as some other countries at the moment. this is just the least of my worries compared to what is happening in Italy etc
  19. Kongpob ❤️❤️ his smile instantly lights up the room
  20. Cheers! Ah yes, I've stayed in my fair share of places where I had a nice picturesque view of a wall..
  21. Yes I think I just need more practice crossing the road! I did like the spacious room of the Raya, the lack of pool didn't bother me too much as I rarely use hotel pools. Ahh good thinking! Thanks! No time like the present to go to the gym, even when it's 3am hehe Thank you, I try! Thanks for all of your comments! Ah, must remember to have a look next time Aww thank you! I visited Cambodia last year (only for a few days though) but I would like to go back some time in the future. Am looking forward to exploring the different countries in south east Asia. It sucks but hey, what can you do! Just need to take it in stride and not get too upset about it. Ah yep, makes sense! I remember ages ago when I used to work late I would do exactly the same thing. Aww thank you! Thank you!
  22. Other things I did: Dongtan beach: went here 3 times and just relaxed for hours. It was really nice. Everyone here seemed to know each other, and know the beach vendors. I ate a couple of times from one of the vendors, first time was fine, but the second time made me feel a little ill. But I was okay. It’s amusing seeing everything they sell, from food, clothes, souvenirs, manicures, pedicures, belts, medications, poppers, porn, you name it, they have it. Massage: I didn’t manage to visit any massage places that were in the complex (although I did walk past them a few times), however I did get a massage on Dongtan beach. I employed the services of a passing vendor and asked for a foot massage, which he agreed to. What ended up happening is that he pretty much avoided my feet for the most part, ended up massaging my legs (whilst brushing my cock sneakily, to which I kept pushing his hand away). He told me to take my shirt and shorts off and lay face down while he did my back, sitting just below my butt but covering it with a towel. And omg, his hands just went wandering, trying to stick a finger up my butt, putting my hand on his cock, and putting his hand underneath to try jerk me off, and if I didn’t stop him, he probably would have fucked me right there, it was kinda hot and pretty sensual but we were literally in public! There wasn’t many people around, but oh my goodness. I guess I shouldn’t have expected any less, this is Pattaya after all. He asked where I was staying and I told him and he said he could come later, and I was like nope. He wasn’t really my type. I saw him twice after that, but I didn’t engage his services anymore lol. Final thoughts I love Bangkok with a passion and I can’t wait until I go back. This was by far my best trip that I’ve had in Thailand so far. Jomtien I wasn’t too sure about, I mean, I had fun and I’ll give it another shot, but it’s not a place that I would go to regularly. There is no shortage of guys there, but I felt a little like there is already a bit of a community with the farang there, and host bars I don’t really understand. I didn’t really check out the gogo bars in boyztown so maybe I’ll try that the next time I go back. I didn’t really get too much attention on the apps, then again, I didn’t really make first contact a lot of the time. Could it be that I’m a little racially ambiguous (I was quite often mistaken for being Thai), and perhaps the guys would just skip over my profile in favour of farang? I don’t know! Loved the Raya, but hated crossing Surawong Rd. Next time I will definitely stay in a hotel on the other side of the road. I’ve had my eye on the Crowne Plaza for a while, but I think it’s a little above my budget. Zing I wasn’t too impressed with, but it was clean (apart from the ant infestation in my bathroom) and on the cheaper side. If I come to Jomtien again, I’ll probably go for the Agate. Also note, if you want to get your laundry done at Zing, you have to take it to reception and pick it up yourself. I had a really nice welcome back from border control when I arrived back in my country. Basically when I tried to go through the e-gate, my passport didn’t work and I had to go to a desk (I thought my passport was broken but turns out not), then collect my luggage and then have border control officers search my luggage, ask me a bunch of questions (‘do you have any friends in Thailand?’ ‘um yeah’ ‘where did you meet them?’ ‘umm in.. bars..’ lol), and took my phone and went through that too. I mean, they were really nice about it and just doing their jobs, and they weren’t the ones who chose me. I was flagged probably before I even stepped off the plane. Single traveller, 3rdtime to Thailand in a 9 month period, any number of things could have flagged me, and I was really annoyed as this was the first time something like this has ever happened to me. But they were friendly and I was respectful, and they were doing their jobs, but after such a good holiday it was a little bit of a downer to be treated like a criminal when coming back home. I wasn’t overly worried though as I hadn’t done anything wrong, but it did make me nervous. Next year I’m planning on visiting Myanmar, Laos, and Vietnam, so I think I might tack on a couple of days in Bangkok at the beginning and end. I would love to see Lao guy 1 and dreamboy again. Thanks for reading!
  23. Food: Room service: I only got room service on the first night (as I was lazy), prices were slightly higher than normal (to be expected from a hotel), but I ended up ordering way too much, and there ended up being 2 people to deliver my food. Oops. It was pretty good though (had chicken wings, som tum, and green curry with rice). The Thais love their spicy food, and I don’t mind a little bit of spice, but I felt as though when I eat Thai spicy food, the spice level is fine to start with, and then the heat just gradually builds up until your mouth is on fire. It was crazy. Super Isan: in the Jomtien complex, I ate here 3 times, the food was simple, decently priced, but so tasty. Really long opening hours – 9am – 2am. Sandbar: I decided to go here on the way back from the beach one as I saw some good reviews of it. Had a cheeseburger and fries and a mango sticky rice and it was decent. Slightly pricey though. Apps: I didn’t really get many messages from guys messaging me first on the apps (but however I found that when I messaged them first, they would mostly reply). I found a guy nearby on Hornet, his profile said he had an 8 inch dick so I was kinda intrigued. After some exchanging of messages (he quoted 1000), he came over to my hotel within probably 10 minutes I think, he was from Cambodia, and looked a little rougher than his photos (but I didn’t mind as that is kinda attractive to me), and said he worked in one of the bars, but I didn’t ask which. It was a pretty awkward encounter. I ended up sucking him for a while, while he watched straight porn on his phone, and roughly played with my hole. Even though his dick was pretty big whilst soft, he wasn’t really getting hard and I was getting bored, so I thought I would just cut my losses and finish the session. I said to him that we are finished and gave him the 1000 baht, after which he said he wanted to fuck me, to which I agreed to, so I went and gave him a condom, which he didn’t want to use, so I said no way, and then we ended the session. A bit of a waste of money on what turned out to be a dud experience, but hey, not every experience is going to be perfect, and I accept that. Later on he sent me a picture message of his (hard) cock but I didn’t really know how to respond so I didn’t. Bars: @Home bar: this was my first venture into the host bars in Jomtien complex. I knew I wanted to go to this particular bar, so I walked down the street and as soon as I got there, one of the guys that worked there grabbed me (they were all standing on the street) and asked if I wanted to come in, so since he was the first to make contact with me I obliged, Cambodian, but not really my type but I went along anyway. Bought him a drink and he was angling for an off really hard, so we ended up going back to my room and having some fun. Sweet guy though, and he even told me to lock up my valuables when I have guys over. Afterwards, he asked if I would off him again but I told him I am a butterfly and he understood. He did end up messaging me on line a few more times asking if I was going to the bar. 4T bar: so this actually started on grindr, I messaged this cute twinkish guy (Thai, 28), and moved our conversation to line. Turns out he works at 4T and I asked if he wanted to come to my hotel before he started work which he agreed to, as long as I could pay the off fee, which yeah was fine obviously. So he came over, and he was a really nice guy, and we were versatile with each other. Later on when we finished we both went to his bar and we had a drink and chatted for a while. When I got the check bin he said that I didn’t have to pay the off fee as he wasn’t gone from the bar for very long, so that was nice, saved myself 300 baht. I ended up offing him another 2 times, for a number of reasons – we connected somewhat, he knew what I liked, and it was convenient as I didn’t have to go to the bars (which I’m really not sure about yet). I paid him the Bangkok tip rate and he was really happy.
  24. PATTAYA Halfway through my trip I checked out of my hotel, got on the MRT to Petchaburi, then the ARL from Makasaan to Suvarnabhumi, and caught the bus to Pattaya. Very decently priced at 130 baht. I didn’t have to wait for long for the next bus which was great. Disembarked at Jomtien and walked the short distance to my hotel (Zing). I try not to be too fussy when staying in hotels, but I just wasn’t really into this one. Like, it was quite big (I don’t know if I perhaps got upgraded to a bigger room), but there was a lot of wasted space , and the bathroom was really small. And had an ant infestation. And the shower was annoying (water would go all over the bathroom floor, and it was either hot or cold most of the time – no inbetween). The good thing was that I had 2 balconies (as it was a corner room), one facing towards the smaller Thappraya Rd (where I could see Family Mart through the buildings), and the other balcony faced towards more balconies from what I assume were apartments on top of the businesses on the main Thappraya road. On one of the balconies there were these 2 good looking guys who would pop up each morning and evening, so when I was hanging out on the balcony we would wave to each other. I called them the ‘balcony boys’. One of them accidentally dropped his bottle of water over the balcony and we both had a laugh.
  25. Food Since I love food, below are a few places I ate at. Thank you for the recommendations from forum members from a post I posted previously, I didn’t manage to get to all of the recommendations, but I did get to some. Mango tree: this place was quite expensive (but I was in the area), and I didn’t find much difference between the food here and what you would find in cheaper restaurants and street food, but the ambience and service made up for it. The maître d was absolutely stunning. There seemed to be a lot of flies at my table though for some reason. Andaman: directly across the road from The Raya, so it’s convenient for those staying there. A mix of Thai and western cuisine, food was okay and decently priced. Northeast: a little bit of a walk, but the food was delicious. Quite a few tourists were here when I visited, and it was quite busy. Highly recommended. Grab food: when I was too lazy to go out, I used grab food (it’s just on the grab app, press ‘food’ on the main screen). Prices were reasonable, and the delivery charge was very reasonable (10-15 baht). The food was mostly delivered in plastic bags, so it was amusing when I was trying to eat/drink soup from a bag. Maybe next time I’ll pack a small bowl in my suitcase. The menus to some of the restaurants were sometimes only in Thai writing, so I had to rely on pictures (and the english listing when available), but there was one time that I randomly ordered a dish in thai writing that I had no idea what it was. That was fun. I was hoping it would be a drink, but it turned out to be a soup, with some sort of meat balls in it. Hokkaido Ramen: this restaurant was across the road from Golden Cock, and reasonably priced (and yum). Tonkotsu Kazan: in the same soi as screw/fresh/dream etc. Really good ramen, and the softest chashu I’ve ever tasted. It was so good that I ordered what I thought was 1 more piece, but ended up being 4 pieces. They were also quite happy to accept credit cards. 7/11: fell in love with the banana cupcakes there (super moist and delicious), and probably had one every day. They are only 10 baht each! Or you can get a 2-pack for 18 baht! Other things I did Mitrtown: this new shopping mall is connected to the Sam Yan MRT and is quite spacious. Just your standard mall really (including muji which has heaps of cool stuff), but there were a lot of food options. I ate at a noodle place, and ordered a dish which I thought was noodles with dumplings, but turns out it was just dumplings without any noodles, but thee best damn dumplings that I’ve ever tasted. Bangkok Art and Cultural Centre: quite easy to get to from national stadium BTS, they have an LGBT exhibition at the moment which is really good (and free!). Some pieces were quite beautiful, other’s quite thought provoking and hard to watch. I spend a good few hours here perusing. A few other exhibitions were on at the same time, but the LGBT exhibition spoke to me the most. It finishes sometime in march I think. Siam Paragon: had a meal at a seafood place, and had a bit of a wander. Wanted to buy a bag but everything was super expensive so I didn’t bother. So many places to eat though. Lots of tourists around. Patpong night market: decided to waste some time before going into the bars one night as it was still early, but I didn’t buy anything. The stalls were pretty much selling all of the same thing. I did walk through one afternoon whilst they were setting up and thought to myself that it must be such a big job having to set it all up and take it down every single day.
