I think hotel prices in thailand has been very competitive enough without TAT intervention. Unless this website can make the price even cheaper, then yes, it might be worth checking out.

Phillippines has the advantage of being and island nations and can easily open only the captial for tourist if they wanted too. Of course that would also mean they need to have extra check at any local departure airports and ports to ensure tourist doesnt venture away, at least 14 days if they want to follow sandbox model.

I had one guy that told me he was duped by client as well. His case was an outcall to client house, which is an apartment, and while leaving, he was out of the apartment when suddenly the client said he forgot something, enter his apartment and locked the door. He did try to ask for money but he cant do much without causing a scene. And of course he wont dare to go to the police as what he did is illegal here. But to be honest, that client is really losing something valuable as that guy is awesome and such a rare find here. Needless to say, he is my regular now. There have been few cases guys ask me money upfront, when we already in the room. Usually i settle this by showing them the cash, as i dont believe in paying before the deed is done and so far all of them are ok with this. Of course all of this only happened on the first encounter. The GP above had put trust in that client way too much, with him delaying the pay multiple times. I hope he will be more careful next time.

Hope bolt taxi will still be around on my next visit. I dont mind the baht bus but those are on very limited route. So i took motorsai and if like u say, its cheaper to get air-con car taxi, its a no brainer.

Thailand arrested her for improper travel document. She did enter thailand without proper approval because she cant get one. She wasnt in prison though, she was fine and on bail. Hope she will get her unchr refugee without issue, although as far as i understand, she is not in any danger even if she return to malaysia, as shariah law here is very limited.

Sad. And if u ask me, she didnt even do any crime. She failed to show up on her court date, on a weak case of insulting the religion by appearing in a religious event she sponsored wearing a women's clothing. Im not sure why she didnt just bring the case to civil court (superior to religious court) and challenge it. Based on previous cases, she has a high chance to win. I guess she is tired with all the nuisance and want to flee for a better place. Glad to know she did get refugee status and hope she will survive in whatever country she will relocated to. Just heard in the news that she was arrested in thailand for holding uncertified/expired passport, and wanted by malaysia for obstruction of civil officer from performing their duty.....

The next question is will drink price in bars reduced though? Hehe
