Another reason is there is never enough guys available in bars during high season. They need enough boys in bar to keep customers entertained, while most popular boys being offed, some even few days in a row. They are probably looking for any taker who wants to cash in during peak season

Do consider visiting chiang mai during other times except loy krathong. My trip last december 2023 was exceptional, with cool temperature (15 C at times!). I had to buy a wind breaker for my doi inthanon visit as the day before my visit, temperature up there reached 7C in the morning, and im so glad i did lol and yes, i use woody for that visit too. I believe the models in moonlight gets fixed income paid by the club for their appearance. They even have models wgo dont really go out with customer for sex, just for drinks. Plus, women are also customers of the bar, well, sometimes.
