  19. On the downside, they are surprisingly fragile. I had a small key in my wallet and its serrated edge tore a Malaysian polymer note when I tried to get it out. Several KL convenience stores wouldn't accept it, until I found one that kindly put tape over the tear. Also, you can't easily fold polymer notes so they will go in a money belt or other hiding places.
  20. You've never had the pleasure of handling filthy greasy well-used small-denomination banknotes from somewhere with an exchange rate of several thousand to the dollar/pound/euro? At least plastic notes are washable.
