  1. Only two . Terminal 1 closed nearly a decade ago.
  2. Set to vibrate?
  3. I understand by "is not correct" what you wrote above: "amyl and pentyl aren't isomers to each other". Those are all alkyl groups (acyclic saturated hydrocarbons) with five carbon atoms and eleven hydrogen atoms. That makes them all isomers, regardless of how the carbons are connected.
  4. As the wikipedia article indeed says. Which part of "The term "amyl nitrite" encompasses several isomers" did you not understand? Tl;dr: You: amyl and pentyl are different isomers of the C5 alkyl group. Wikipedia: "amyl" sometimes meant what we now call "pentyl." Me: caveat emptor. And I'd add, for a table of all the different names used for pentyl isomers, this (different) wikipedia article is helpful (and, AFAICS, correct): "In older literature, the common non-systematic name amyl was often used for the pentyl group. Conversely, the name pentyl was used for several five-carbon branched alkyl groups, distinguished by various prefixes. The nomenclature has now reversed, with "amyl" being more often used to refer to the terminally branched group also called isopentyl"
  5. Just whern you thought you knew the answer: according to Wikipedia the terminology has changed over time: "In older literature, the common non-systematic name amyl was often used for the pentyl group".
  6. Physical cards can be virtualised too. If you add a physical card to Google Wallet you can use your Android phone to make contactless transactions on the card account, but as an extra level of security it uses a virtual card number, not the one on the card. I assume iPhones have an equivalent.
  7. It's worth pointing out that long-distance bus travel in LoS is not like some of the neighbouring countries where buses depart only when (over)full and you have to sit on someone's knee. In Thailand you get a numbered seat (and mamasan gets very cross if you try to sit anywhere else 😲) and they depart more or less at the scheduled time. As for "quite fun" the internet yields many images showing all kinds of fun activities on a bus 😉
  8. Don't 7* chicken and cashew nuts feature somewhere? Also the ready availability of stamp-collecting accessories, of course.
  9. That was the Thaiger article. I was referring to the "more objective" (your words) Thairath article quoted by tm_nyc: 'looking like an LGBTQ' . The actual words are "ลักษณะคล้าย LGBTQ". ลักษณะ means "physical characteristics, appearance; characteristic; manner". คล้าย means "to resemble; look like". Source: Thai-English Student's Dictionary, Mary R Haas, Stanford University Press, 1964. ISBN 0-8047-0567-4.
  10. I'm imagining being the patient in the next bed when they drew the screens around and the grinding noises started...
  11. I think what that means is that a Thai-speaking witness actually said "looking like a katoey" which any native Thai speaker would understand. The journalist has helpfully (cluelessly) translated it into "LGBTQ" for the benefit of English-speaking readers. A few years ago they'd just have written "ladyboy".
  12. Buy something small at a 7-11. Company policy is not to object to people splitting large notes. Alternatively, ask the bar cashier to split them "for tips".
  13. Where doesn't seem to matter. Nor does what you wear: I've seen it suggested that's why in some bars they wear (only) a condom on stage 🤯.
  14. What (and where?) was the Boyztown incarnation called? I don't recall an M Bar. Any chance you can share some of her other answers here, or is it too inflammatory for print? 😲
  15. "the city’s image as a family-friendly destination." 🥱 Reading that, one might think Pattaya Railway Station was in the centre of the city, bringing hourly trainloads of happy tourist families from far-flung destinations. 🤣
  16. Yes. Probably B450.
  17. Spot on.🍆🤣
  18. Keeping it legal? If he's wearing a hat he's not nude 😉
  19. Currently it's more a building site.
  20. Those quotes are for TWO rooms x 2 nights. Are you sure that's what you meant?
  21. I have scans of maps from Thai Scene and The Men of Thailand dated 1994-1997, and they all show Tawan (aka Tawan Cocktail Lounge aka Tawan Club) at the same location on Soi Tantawan.
  22. oops, finger trouble.
  23. Not "exactly". I didn't notice her making a gratuitous personal attack, which is probably what earned you your arrows.
  24. My question about what makes firstt class was intended more to stimulate discussion than as a serious request for information, but a lurker has PMd an explanation of the official bus classes: "1st class: luxe, with AC, if run by private contractors often labelled 'VIP´; should have an onboard toilet (which does not guarantee it's usable!). Mostly non stop or at least no official stops en route. 2nd: basic AC, just a seat and nothing more. Nowadays mostly minivans; will also do intermediate stops 3rd: rarely seen today, old style orange non-AC does all stops, takes each+everything onboard etc. Also the big songthaews that serve most very local provincial lines. 4th: double deck bus, with AC, very few of these, intermediate between 1st/2nd. Prone to accidents and thus mistrusted by most Thai now."
  25. I wonder what makes it "first-class"? Suggestions invited...
