Re: the gay sex lashing (which yes I would also term horrific and even stronger words), the problem is there are deep religious convictions behind this sort of attitude. I don’t think this is the case in Thailand so I don’t see the necessity of hazing young men in this manner, just to please a few kinky superiors. Groping someone on a train could be termed “mild” compared to rape, but doesn’t make it right either and definitely not for victim. Again not my intention to upset or offend anyone.

While I understand where you are coming from, I would respectfully suggest that you not ask me to differentiate between degrees of abuse...my point was that unless this was 100% consensual between all participants (which I doubt) then it is clearly not right and should not be condoned, regardless if you view it as a harmless bit of fun or otherwise. Just as forcing gays into conversion therapy or boot camps, this could be a deeply disturbing situation for straights who are made to buckle under peer pressure or authority. Maybe my reaction was a bit strong but to be completely honest the first image that came to mind was the Abu Ghraib footage. Yes I realise that it is a dramatic comparison so I hope no one will slam me for saying this.

I agree with vinapu. The pictures are funny to us sitting at home but are actually a horrific example of abuse in the Thai military. Sorry to sound lacking in humour. Edit: although, thank you to the posters for sharing, and confirming this actually does happen.

m According to the comments this is at the Huamum Night Market. Although I was joking when I suggested this as a dining option!

Paborn, ask the Vietnam boys to take you for Vietnamese food...they’d be only too happy to oblige. Otherwise there is this delightful place: https://www.facebook.com/100002296479107/posts/1915292091890655/

Poor Mekhin he is only 35! I think he has a few good years yet?

My experience is that gogo boys are not only confident but also very vain! LOL. Quite often I find them checking themselves out nude in my hotel’s full length mirror, flexing and inspecting their muscles. But they are also very realistic, they definitely know when they are the popular stars in their bar (big egos! though always respectful and polite to customers) or get less attention compared to their peers. The less popular boys tend to be more affectionate but also risk becoming too clingy and sulking if you give their friends any attention. Jasper, would you mind sharing a photo of Oud? I have been curious who the other ex Tawan was.

My friend knows a girl who offed not one but two Moonlight models so she could go to a club with a pair of muscles at her back. LOL.
 -
Jasper, it’s on Wednesday and they say there are “special shows”
 -
I think women mainly off guys to escort them for drinks, dancing etc though there may be some bedroom fun involved too. I have seen them in Jupiter and Moonlight, and surprisingly a number are quite attractive whom you wouldn’t expect to pay for companionship. But I guess they are just as enamoured with Thai boys as we are.

Is anyone planning to attend the Halloween party that they’re advertising on FB? Apparently the models are dressed up as zombies - sounds like great comedy.

Yes I wasn’t suggesting that “we” forum members fix the bars’ business models lol. Just that the bars should know their own identity and strengths, focus on their target audience and do it well. That makes for happy customers too. Fully agree discreet low key bars have their own charms, that is a service area in itself which can either be done excellently or shabbily. And never under estimate strict captains who keep the boys in line too, they are essential to any successful operation.

With all due respect, all this picture shows is that Moonlight has a very savvy social media manager - something the other bars may wish to learn from. The photo shoots, live streaming certainly keeps this bar in my mind ahead of others and allows me to appreciate the stars at my leisure when I may be otherwise distracted inside the actual venue. It also means they cultivate an international fanbase who will ensure a visit during Bangkok travels than relying on the luck of walk ins. Perhaps instead of only considering drink prices, we should think about how the Soi twilight bars can equally raise their game.

I have seen him before at Jupiter. And pointed him out to my friend as being very striking though not my type. But I confess I did not even remember this until I saw Jasper’s photo. Another example of why I occasionally browse the Chinese forum as I tend to forget even boys who left an impression. That night he was on stage rotation for quite a long time as no one called him down, though it was a Friday.

No revealing photos of Boom (unless a standard underwear photo is revealing), but there is one thread devoted to him so that is where I matched the face to the tattoo you posted. The Chinese forum is much like this one (I actually found the link here). The main difference is that there are discussions dedicated to individual boys with photos. Some revealing, some not. Jupiter boys are popular as expected, also massage boys. My Chinese is not good enough to follow the discussion so I just browse the photos. Edit: the forum is called “gaytourthai” which you can google. If anyone wants a link directly to the board discussing the boys you can PM me since I don’t know this forum’s policy on posting URLs. You may also need to be registered to see some of the photos.

LOL. In my memory it was a series of interlocking shapes which looked like swastikas....and as I said, closest description I could think of since Thai boy tattoos are the most puzzling designs on earth. But upon checking the photos my eyes are obviously playing tricks on me.
 -
Yes that would be him. I had to check the Chinese forum to reconfirm, where they have no qualms posting face photos and other even more personal photos of boys. I guess that explains why I never even got within arm’s length. Looks like I will have to forego one evening at Moonlight in favour of trying to catch this hula hoop show on my next visit.
 -
The boy with the ‘swastika’ tattoo (not actually a swastika- just the closest description I could think of) has worn the number 9 and 17 tags, if this rings any bells.
 -
I have not had the pleasure of seeing the hula hoop show. Each time I have been to Jupiter, most of these very popular boys were already booked by customers, majority female. So I admired from a distance, not by choice.

I would not be surprised but since I am not a threat to his life - only to his income - I doubt he would pull a gun on me, on airport premises no less. The other incidents I have encountered, I was out of my comfort zone and thought it best to comply. Being driven miles out into the suburbs and being confronted for a huge amount of petrol money is one of them.

Thai taxi drivers are the bane of my life. On my trip last week being in a hurry I decided to get a taxi but forgot to check if the meter was running. Sure enough as he pulled out from taxi rank he started to insist on 500 baht (ridiculous! I knew where I was going cost no more than 350). Luckily we were close enough to the airport that I threatened to alight and get a new taxi, stranding him with no passenger and having to queue again in the rank. He switched on the meter and we proceeded. And even though I had raised my voice at him, being tired, impatient and too used to taxi driver shenanigans, within minutes he was smiling and chattering cheerfully on the phone. Which brings me to the conclusion they expect some haggling and arguing, and don’t take offence if they don’t come out on the winning side- no need to fear for your life, just be firm, it is par for the course. Could I have paid the extra 150? Absolutely. Each time I take a short taxi ride (say from Siam to Silom) the driver always hopefully asks for 100 baht and I usually agree to save fuss, and because I actually have a choice to walk away. But for airport taxis, this is a monitored system, drivers know this, and you need to stand firm otherwise more helpless tourists will be bullied. Apart from this I have numerous other horror stories, some of which will raise the hair on your head.

I don’t know names / numbers, which one is Boom? The lad in your photo or the one I mentioned?
 -
I refer to the most sought after Jupiter boys who don’t advertise - or have to - themselves on apps even in Bangkok. But yes you are right there seem to be travelling Thai money boys all over Asia.
 -
I have seen this boy before, indeed handsome. But the boy who attracts me more is the popular one with a swastika looking tattoo on his left pec. He is jaw droppingly gorgeous. Either he has also worked in China or is popular with the Chinese, I forget which. When these boys go to work abroad, is this usually for a single customer or is this some sort of bar network? I was told of boys also going to work in Japan and other countries.

Guess you didn’t have to tip the pizza though? LOL
