I don't think I have ever been to a country more obsessed with paperwork than Thailand. Have you ever wondered what they do with all of the papers we must file at the immigration office? Surely, they can't keep all of it. But, then who knows. Even when I go to my bank to do things it is more and more paperwork. In my home country most transactions can be done at an ATM, but not in Thailand. You must get a number and wait to see a teller for almost anything other than getting money from your account and, of course, this requires many papers. Thankfully this can be done to get cash. Best we just enjoy Bangkok as it is today. I question that it will ever be as it was in the early years of 2000, but that is history and Covid has changed things around the world. Not just in Thailand. I am happy to have what we have now and, hopefully, it will get even better. Regardless, I think that this thread is very active and this is good. Just different opinions.

I agree with your assessment of the two being different.

As we all know by now dope is now legal in Thailand. That is great for those who like to use it. The only problem is that the shops selling it have decided that they will make their first million on it by charging outrageously for it. I know that the one sold in the US is much cheaper than here in LOS. Perhaps as time goes on these guys selling it will have more and more competition and the prices will drop. But, for now those who use it will pay, pay and pay for it.

I suggest that the controller of this site split the Thailand Forum into 4 separate forums. One being Bangkok, a second being Pattaya, a third being Chiang Mai and a fourth being the remainder of Thailand. This would make it easier to get to the topic that interests you. Just my thinking. Anyone else concur?
