I think it's great. Yes, I've eaten at Taco Bell on occasion but usually when I'm in a rush or get a craving for something with a Tex-Mex flavor. I used to bitch about the idea that they use the same 7 ingredients in everything they serve but just jumble it up to call it different things. The idea of a hotel with that motif just entertains me.

Traveled to the US Embassy to get a new passport, All in preparation to extend my retirement visa. It was not a bad experience but I wanted to alert you to something you may already know. When you fill out the form to renew the passport you must put your Thailand address and not your home address in the US. Every person in line to renew their passport had to fill out a new form and go back to the end of the line.

This does not reflect how the government of Thailand has made it more difficult foreigners to get what is commonly referred to as a retirement visa which is valid for one year. They talked the cowardly us embassy and others into no longer granting income affidavits. Now we must have 800,000 Baht in a Thai bank and this is an onerous effort for many. Also, treatment at Thai immigration can be shoddy and inconsistent. Thailand is no longer a great retirement spot.
