  1. According to the New York Times, "The reason Air Canada restarted talks with the union was not immediately clear. But on Monday, Patty Hajdu, the labor minister, said that she had started an investigation into the issue of unpaid work by flight attendants while the plane was on the ground. In an interview with CBC News, she called the issue “deeply disturbing.”" So maybe slavery is, in fact, illegal in Canada.
  2. I suspect that most of us aren't that old... 😉
  3. It seems to me that the time they're required to report to work should be the time they start getting paid (assuming it's required). This reminds me of when I was working as a government physician. We had mandatory weekly meetings at noon, which were off the clock, but for which sandwiches were brought down, so that we could attend to the meetings promptly after our last morning patients. Someone was *shocked* that the government was buying rich physicians sandwiches, so those got cut out. Well, since we were off the clock, we just went out for lunch instead. In the end, they ended up having to cut the last two patients off of our roster, so that we'd have time to get or prepare lunch, then paid us for the hour of the weekly noontime meeting. The savings of the cost of the sandwich ended up costing 100X more.
  4. I keep hearing/reading that the biggest sticking point seems to be that Air Canada doesn't pay workers for the work they're required to do before and after the planes are in the air. I can't imagine that this could be legal in the US, since the US Constitution plainly forbids unpaid work (with the exception of jury duty, I suppose). Does Canadian law, or whatever equivalent there is in terms of a Constitution, not forbid involuntary servitude? What's the legal basis for Air Canada forcing their workers to perform unpaid tasks? Clearly, much work needs to be done before and after the planes are actually in the air. https://apnews.com/article/air-canada-flight-attendants-illegal-strike-eca99afe8651b9bf64acd708ae987f5f "...Air Canada and CUPE have been in contract talks for about eight months, but remain far apart on the issue of pay and the unpaid work that flight attendants do when planes aren’t in the air...". https://www.reuters.com/business/world-at-work/air-canada-union-chief-prefers-jail-being-forced-end-cabin-crew-strike-2025-08-18/ "...The flight attendants, who are pushing for a negotiated contract, are striking for wages similar to those earned by cabin crews at Canadian carrier Air Transat (TRZ.TO), opens new tab, and to be fully paid for work on the ground, such as boarding passengers...".
  5. Another candidate for the Darwin award: https://abcnews.go.com/US/tennessee-hiker-dies-after-bitten-venomous-snake-officials/story?id=124678239 "A man has died after he was bitten by a venomous snake at a Tennessee state park, according to park officials... A witness told first responders that the hiker picked up the snake, which is believed to be a Timber rattlesnake, and was bitten on the hand, Griffith noted...". Of course, my first instinct when I see and hear a rattlesnake is to actually pick it up. 🙄
  6. And yes, he does have an OnlyFans. 😉
  7. I've noticed that a lot of really popular and handsome internet personalities feel the need to post quotes stating they don't care about negative comments they get from haters, etc. To me, this suggests that these comments actually do get under their skin. If it were me, I'd just laugh off and ignore any negative posts. For example, I just saw this post from the Facebook story of a gorgeous man I admire named Dor Klein. Not only is he gorgeous, but he does crazy-talented ninja-type stuff at these "ninja gyms." I'm really in awe of this incredible man. He has tons of fans. Obviously, anyone this popular will get some negative comments. I would be so grateful to be in his shoes, and I'd easily brush off any haters. Personally, I just chuckle when I see any negative stuff. When you have plenty of good friends, who cares about the haters? I understand that this is what his message implies, but why even bother? This is what this gorgeous man looks like: I can hardly even imagine being able to do this kind of stuff:
  8. I will usually book hotels in the Hilton group, Marriott-Bonvoy group, or InterContinental Hotels group, in which case I use their respective websites. I will book with Expedia, Booking, or similar when I travel to small towns which don't host one of the hotels to which I extend my loyalty. So far I haven't had trouble. I might look at Expedia, etc., to look at all of the hotels in a city of interest, but then usually switch to the hotels' websites for booking. I'll get my free nights to avoid very expensive stays, such as Miami Beach in January, Venice in May, etc. I would add that most reviews on TripAdvisor with fewer than 10 contributions are fake (made by the hotel or someone hired by the hotel). I've avoided hotels which have lots of 5* reviews by new contributions, but lots of poorer reviews by established TripAdvisor members. It's much to TripAdvisor's discredit that they seem to put as much weight on obviously fake reviews--even brand-new reviewers--as on reviews made by well-established reviewers. One cannot simply go by the overall rating. Some shady hotels flood the website with 5* reviews.
  9. Well, I definitely shower after, but, strangely enough, escorts don't, more often than not, in my experience. I personally don't like getting dressed with all sorts of bodily fluids on my body. But as long as he's not filthy, I definitely don't dislike a sweaty man. I wouldn't mind licking off every drop of that man-sweat...
  10. Yes, I just request they not shower after their morning shower.
  11. This escort's ad on Rentmen stood out for me, because he states "Hygiene is very important to me. Especially with everything that’s going on, washing hands and showering prior to our appointments is a must." Depending on what you're into, you may be sticking fingers/penis/tongue in various orifices, sucking cocks, kissing, etc. I can't imagine anything less "sanitary." Personally, I ask my escorts to avoid showering any time near our appointment, and would like it even better if he'd worked out recently. While opinions can obviously differ on whether one prefers someone straight out of the shower smelling soapy-clean, or all sweaty, I'd have to chuckle if an escort asked me to wash my hands before starting. Once your hands go into someone's groin, washing those hands before makes no difference. I wonder how enjoyable a session could be with someone so worried about cleanliness. Maybe he'd rather be a nurse? https://rentmen.eu/AtYourServicexo
  12. Talk about getting one's just deserts 😄: https://www.huffpost.com/entry/trump-burger-owner-ice_n_68975acee4b0e3a60453172e "A man who founded a Donald Trump-themed burger joint in Texas is under investigation by the Department of Homeland Security and could be deported for alleged immigration fraud. Roland Beainy, 28, established the first location of Trump Burger in Bellville, Texas, in 2020, and opened three more locations in the state over the next few years. The restaurants feature MAGA decor and burgers with the word “TRUMP” stamped across the buns. The restaurateur was arrested by U.S. Immigrations and Customs Enforcement on May 16, the agency confirmed to Newsweek on Wednesday. An ICE spokesperson told The Guardian that Beainy is from Lebanon, came to the United States on a “non-immigrant visa” in 2019 and was supposed to leave by February 2024. He now stands accused of trying to “game the system” and entering into a “sham” marriage in an attempt to stay in the United States, according to a DHS statement sent to Chron.com. The department also accused him of having “an assault charge” and a “history of illegal marriages.”..." I almost passed out laughing. Trump's fanatics are so incredibly stupid, it's beyond imagination. I hope he likes it back in Lebanon.
  13. The ironic part being that Superman was an undocumented alien... 😉
  14. Looks as though Dean Cain is going out of his way to show what an asshole he is... https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c5yp8l3z0g5o "Ex-Superman actor Dean Cain has announced he is planning to join the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency, known as ICE. In an interview on Wednesday, Cain, who is already a sworn law enforcement officer, said, "I will be sworn in as an ICE agent asap". It comes after he released a video encouraging members of the public to join following a recruitment drive by the agency, which is behind the Trump administration's ramped-up immigrant deportation efforts. Cain played the role of Superman between 1993 and 1997 in the TV series, Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman...".
  15. Steve Irwin did a lot for this planet--and one of the finest things he did was his son Robert. You little Ripper! He's an environmentalist and now an underwear model, too.
  16. Kadir beneath Mo Moteh.
  17. I'll respond in the language you'll understand: The river Temarc in winter.😄
