And now your loopy state lawmakers are back with an even more horrific version of "Don't Say Gay." This time the good Senator Campfield has tacked on a provision that any teacher who even suspects a student may be gay must promptly report his/her suspicions to the child's parents. Really, KMEM, you guys in Tenn., need to get your act together. No rush...the dog was adopted by some kind, broadminded lady (who renamed him 'Elton'). Maybe the gay kids who get outed will be as lucky.

It's strictly a finantial move probably (I would guess) intended to clear the way for a large capital infusion by the Indian government &/or a restructuring (yet again) of its debt to the state controled banks.

Well, if you're more interested in exploding their heads than reasoning with them, just post that most straights you've met don't seem to feel any need to get all that worked up over homosexuality. And that, in your experience, there's a high percentage of gays repressing their sexuality among those 'straights' that do. If memory serves, RMN also proposed a negative income tax in place of the wildly conterproductive welfare system of his day (in effect a national floor for cash income for the poor). Sen. Daniel Moynihan's idea originally, if I remember right. Of course that would have meant turning out hundreds of thousands of paper shuffeling welfare workers, so the Dems were lining up to oppose it. I don't know how the numbers would work out now, but at the time, you could have doubled the income of the poor and still cut welfare costs by about 1/3, just by getting rid of the welfare bureaucracy. Yep, yep, those were the numbers. Amazing how factoids like that can stick in your head for 40 years.
