Curitibanos are some of the most gorgeous guys in Brazil (mix of German, E. European, and Latin), but they also have a more uptight "northern" culture, so the guys don't want to do business where they live. Enjoy Curitiba for its other charms, but the best guys went to SP and Rio. On my last trip to Curitiba, I struck out at not one but, I think, 3 supposed garoto saunas.

In 2023, I stopped in at 117 on a Sunday late afternoon. Completely dead both times. But in 2023 things were somewhat dead almost everywhere, on any night.

Alterosas was the the sauna way out in the eastern suburbs that I mentioned. That was on my first Brazil-defloration trip. My only guide was the dreaded, woefully inaccurate and outdated but all we had Spartacus guide, so I don't even know that I went to the right place. This was before uber, etc., so I took the metro out and wandered down various streets to what appeared to be a car wash (?!).

I would add that downtown (Centro) SP is turning a leaf, with new restaurants, refurbished buildings, and, it appears, a bit more safety and security. The encampment in front of the cathedral has cleared and "Crack-o-landia" has been displaced farther north to around Luz.

I was at Casa Grande in 2022 or 23. The guys there are mellow enough, but not of my type. It's absolutely true that any beauties will make the trip to the Zona Sul bro-dellos. But the trip out to Bangu (metro + train) and a little exploration of this suburb and its fancy shopping mall were still interesting.

So what are the one in Reangelo and the two in Madureira? And what are their best nights?

5 to 7? I've been going to SP for 20 years and can only think of Lagoa, Fragata and some place way out in the Eastern suburbs.

South Americans are macho and like their beef chewy (and often well-done, another topic), but if your BdC was chain-saw quality, something went very wrong at the ranch or in the kitchen. There was a restaurant in Amarillo that used to advertise up and down I-40. If you could finish their FIVE-POUND steak (that's 80 oz. for the arithmetically disinclined), it was free. The ambulance, however, would be about $2,000. Money & cash - This has been an issue on every trip to Argentina. My first was during the hyperinflation of 1989 and before the prevalence of ATMs so you can imagine. As I currently understand it, cash is still king (though the parallel exchange rates have gotten closer), and like everywhere where cash is king, you must bring flawless U.S. currency. About Brasilia - gorgeous architecture, daft urban planning. The Niemeyer buildings look even better in person than in the pictures. That's because they are meticulously kept up in the capital. Mid-mod architecture looks grungy real quickly if you don't keep the chrome well polished.

I didn't love SP until about my 3rd trip. I can understand if others want to devote their attention elsewhere. Over the years, I've seen fewer than 5 garotos of Japanese descent in the saunas. I went with a stunning muscular sweetheart. And one of my repeats - and the biggest cock of my entire, well-sampled life - told me that he was 1/4 Japanese, which I could see if I squinted hard.

Based on my last trip, I don't think I'd be returning to St. Moritz/GEH. The quality of guys is just not what I've gotten accustomed to in Brazil. The facility - a narrow massage table - is terrible. The live sex shows were kind of gross. In the strip show, it was so dark and gloomy you couldn't see the guys' faces. Of the 8-10 guys present, I'd say 2 would have been competitive in a Brazilian sauna. The ads on mileroticos (Col.) do not compare with the ads in garotocomlocal (Braz.). Should I go back, I'd spend more time on my Tinder. Wow, the gorgeous guys who popped up there. I did not have time to meet with any of them. The Teatron gay disco complex (an entire city, almost) is packed with thousands, average age seemingly 25. I might try more of my luck there too.

There's a lot of non-sex travel info for SP here. But in short, it's a tough city to love on the first trip. You have to look beneath the grit and grind and dive into its nooks and crannies and hidden neighborhoods between the massive roadways. As always, the gayborhood (Consolacao) is a fun, conveniently-located neighborhood, and Jardims can be quite pleasant.

Is that him in the picture? When was he active in the sauna scene? I'm surprised I don't recognize him, as he would seem to be someone I'd have noticed.

I liked Curitiba ("the Minneapolis of Brazil") but the sauna scene was lacking for me. One of the few times I left a sauna without any fun was in Ctba. The most gorgeous Curitibanos are in Sao Paulo. They're too uptight to work at home.

I just looked it up and Bogota is at 8600 feet. I did not realize it was that high. I did not feel it at all the two times I was in Bogota. I did feel sorroche in Quito for the first day or so, and it was only a few hundred feet higher.

Who else does Finca parties in Cali and how do you find out? I might be going to Colombia later this year.

Where is Caio Veyron advertising or how to contact him? Would he also do meetings when he's in BCN?

Did you get the feeling any of them were playing "the long game"? Colombia is a hot bed for straight guys looking for either a quick fuck or a potential wife ("una chica seria") more gorgeous than they could ever get back home. And many of the Colombian women, smartly, are aiming for the second option. I'm just wondering whether there's that kind of expectation or hope even among the nice guys. I'm not saying that's a bad thing, if you know what you're getting into.

Long ago, there was an upscale straight/mixed club in Santo Domingo that had the most beautiful - and as I found out, available - guys. I've been trying to find a similar venue. Do you think any of the hot patrons (or door men & security guards) are doing business?

If this has been the subject of a previous thread, my apologies. I did not find it. Is there a list of recommended love motels in the two big cities? Something with a jacuzzi and "exhibition shower" would be nice, but otherwise just something comfortable, clean, don't-ask-don't-tell. I'd like to get one as my second home for the next trip. I've been to two: Estela do Sul near Praca da Arvore and Luxatel near Ana Rosa. Very bare minimum but they do their job.

Cutting to the chase about free days, there are downsides to them. The cabins are so heavily booked that you could wait almost an hour and have to make awkward small-talk with your boy instead of, you know, with him. I've tried to entice them to do a semi-public quickie in a corner (it's a personal turn-on) but there must be a house rule against it. The best thing about free cabin days is not the free cabin but the usually abundant in-gathering of talent.

It's hard to remember service rates and exchange rates and group discounts (LOL), but when I expanded from the saunas to the massage outfits, the guys were roughly twice as much as in the saunas. However, you get leisurely service instead of a quickie and in much more pleasant surroundings. And the guys were phenomenal, so worth it.
