Day 1 
Train from airport was quite crowded, actually left airport already very crowded. Weather was good so it looks week of heavy rains which submerged big part of Bangkok was over  but indeed water could be seen everywhere. 
Room at Raya was ready. I let Jason1975 know I arrived, he stays in the same hotel , we agreed to meet for lunch at Sarika  in 1 hr . 
In meantime I went to 7/11 across from Raya to buy some toiletries as my luggage is in transit and  it was shocking to see how empty shelves were . Obviously rains ruined logistics and made re-stocking difficult. 
Sarika after renovations looks very classy and modern  lots of young people dining or just spending time there  but can’t say their after renovation version of chicken with cashew nuts was ‘new, improved formula “ . Too salty and too oily for my taste so sadly while new furniture worked , new cooks not necessarily. 
After lunch we made a walk through the area, I exchanged more money in XOne, bought shirt and undies in stalls on Silom ( luggage lost !!!) and the we parted ways. I went to the rom to catch some sleep , set alarm clock for 7.45 pm. as we agreed to meet in soi 4 at 8.30. 
Off I went there and spotted jason1975 sitting with somebody at front of Banana Club. Somebody turned out to be Aaroninatl, our new member. Our first meeting and it looks we hit it on from the spot. 
I treated one of barkers with drink, exchanged latest gossip with Aaron and Jason , spotted few Jupiter boys going to work including one who I call “Boy of interest”, short BOI and since we were already in soi 4 we decided to check Jupiter. We arrived  bit too early , bar was emptyish but as time  went it was filling  up . At show time it was 2/3 full . Poppy the singer recognized me from July which nicely surprised me and earned him well deserved 100 tip. 
BOI planted himself beside for a moment but I told him that I’m not planning offs tonight , stressing ‘ tonight’ , he got his 100 tip as well. Third 100 went to Cambodian guy I offed in July  who surprised me pointing out where in the bar we were sitting that night . Wow, what a memory ! I know it’s only 2 months but still… 
Last number in the show was rare one at Jupiter. Thay made BOI lying flat , placed some marshmallows on him in various strategic places and invited spectators to pick those with mouth only. My friends in a  bout of senior abuse pushed me to go there – not that I resisted. My job was easy since I offed BOI in the past on more than one occasion so kind of knew importance of those strategic places and how to deal with them.
At midnight we went to Foodland to eat something. After that we parted ways , I went to Midnight bar, bought drinks for P and another host. P was already nicely drunk so I made him drunk bit more.
Another guy was quite clingy and kissy so I suggested we will go to check my stamp collection and soon we were in my room for night of philatelistic ( or is it phallic? ) romance .  

I hadn’t been to Banana Club for years. The last times I was there, I’d been somewhat disappointed: there were lots of ladyboy acts, very few male acts, and the guys who were there just weren’t my type. I was pleasantly surprised by the show itself. The ladyboys generally performed entertaining numbers (though, in my opinion, there were perhaps a bit too many ladyboy acts in the show overall); the male dancers did a great job and occasionally engaged in some playful, flirtatious interaction. Light effects and visuals on the big screens on stage where also nice. The more erotic numbers were partly original and partly the kind of thing you see everywhere. The guys performing these erotic acts also engaged in some pleasant, friendly interaction from time to time.
The "quality" of the guys present was also significantly better than before—just as the forum member who gave the advice had already noted. There were actually quite a few who were just my type. Some of them made flirtatious contact while up on stage—wearing their number tags, shirtless, but with long pants (jeans) on. A number of them had also taken part in the "cock parade" during the erotic show, so even though they were wearing long pants now, I already knew exactly what quite a few of them had to offer...
What struck me during the "big cock show" was that many of the guys were wearing multiple condoms, one on top of the other—you could even see air trapped at the tip of the condom, meaning the penis inside was smaller than the condom itself, which had essentially been "inflated." One guy was bold enough to show off his equipment without a condom; he certainly had nothing to be ashamed of. He also took part in various erotic acts.
During one of the acts, he tried to persuade me to come up on stage and sit on a chair. I stayed put—and a good thing, too! When none of the other guests dared to do it, one of the waiters was placed in the chair instead. The guys performed a sexy dance for him—and with him—which even involved lifting up his shirt and things like that. Well, I’m glad that wasn’t me; the very thought is a nightmare! In a private setting, that might have been fine, but certainly not with other people watching—even if it was only a small audience.
His nerve, combined with the fact that he engaged with me, led me to invite him over—even though I already knew he was a top. I made it clear from the start that I wouldn't be taking him to my hotel, but that I’d be happy to have a drink with him, chat, and feel his six-pack and other muscles. He agreed. We had a really great time together. He was a guy from Cambodia—from Battambang. Maybe he’s a neighbor of @jimmie50.... 😂
According to him, there were also a few attractive guys who could play the bottom role. He mentioned some of their tag numbers and even suggested that the three of us—him, me, and a colleague of his who’s a bottom—should head up to my room. I politely declined; I just wasn’t really in the mood that evening. Still, I had a great time. Before I knew it, the third round of shows had already begun. In the meantime, several customers had come and gone. Eventually, I was the only guest left in the bar. I tipped a few of the performers—after all, they were putting on the show just for me—and then decided to head out myself.
In short, a very successful rediscovery of Banana! I need to head back there soon—but this time for a guy who can be a bottom.

good thing you are curious / concerned but as member here for several years I observed that for many contributors it's noticeable pattern : they are being active for a while before, during and after their trip and then they go into dormancy until next trip is coming up. Nothing wrong with that as long as they keep returning

I think this sort of aggressive comment which suggests borderline doxxing of a member’s privacy is unwarranted and not in the spirit of this forum. How would you have received feedback from Chiang Mai guys had you not been enquiring about @aaroninatl ’s activities there? Even if unsolicited from the boys (though I find it hard to believe they would single out an unrelated, individual farang to gossip about long distance for no reason) you can close one ear and not drag this into an open forum. If you find aaroninatl’s posts and behavior triggering there is no need to continuously engage.

I would normally tap the driver’s shoulder if he starts speeding up and politely ask him to slow down. Most of them will follow. When drop-off, I usually give them an extra 20 baht, they will be more happier
before the ride, I’ll ask for a helmet. Some drivers will offer you one, some not. So you have to make sure you have your helmet for your safety. At least!! Haha. I know it might not be the cleanest, but you can always bring a shower cap.

If you book a guide, it’s a good idea to extend this into visiting one of the host bars @musgrave mentioned which are also on my list of places to check out. My mistake the first time was going solo without a local friend. Offs are possible but there are no mamasans and arrangements need to made directly with the boys who speak little English so an intermediary is helpful.

Orion Bar in the night market area and Connections Bar in the Chang Klan area.are the main gay bars - generally frequented by tai yai lads some of whom are offable. Friday and Saturday are a little busier but it is low season. Both bars have Facebook pages. An alternative to AA is New Circle Club also on Facebook and located in the same area as AA. A short walk from AA is a small venue frequented by lads which was discussed in the CM forum - always found it lively.

Woody( and his partner Non) of Classic House massage do tours - a day trip to include Mon Chaem and Mae Komphong are well worth doing - trips into surrounding country side. If going to Mae Khompong a side trip to The Giant is recommended. if Woody and Non are not available they can usually arrange a friend to help.out.

Wow, so much processed food loaded with carbs and sugar. There's often a fruit cart parked in front of 7-11s in Thailand and you should check it out sometime. Guava has a low GI and Thai ones are fresh and crunchy but go easy on the plum powder as it's loaded with sugar. They're called ฝรั่ง or farang, spelled and pronounced exactly the same way as the commonly used descriptor for westerners. Make sure you get the fresh ones and not the ones that have been soaked in syrup.
Unripe mango, pomelo, white dragon fruit, tangerines and Thai jujube (they look like green apples) are also good options for diabetics but, as always, everything in moderation. Next to the cool season, June to August is my favourite time of the year in Thailand being the main fruit season. Longans, lychees, longkong, rambutans (Surat Thani is famous for its rambutans), mangosteens...again, in moderation. I was in Hatyai last weekend and there was still a wide variety of local fruit so you're not too late. Durian is available all year round now; I may be biased but I prefer Malaysian durian to Thai durian. 😅 Be careful of dried fruit: high in fibre but high GI too.

I don’t regularly use the apps in Thailand… in fact, never have. I want to try to use the apps to attract MBs to approach me as many have recommended. Can you share your tips on how I should set up my profile, what to say/not to say to attract what I’m looking for, and what kind of photos should I share on my profile. Then what’s to process or the “dance” that I should follow once I get a ping. How do I negotiate the deal and how soon do I bring it up.
im planning on using Grindr but are there others that I may consider that are better for this purpose?

I may need to add a visit to Pattaya to my upcoming trip. When I was in Bkk a few months ago there was an absolute stunning shirtless guy working as a greeter in front of one of the bars, we got to talking and he was Russian. If someone of his calibre is available to bring back to my hotel, I wouldn't think twice about dropping 10,000 for the privilege ;) Any Pattaya locals got any input about the Russians working the bars there?

I can confirm, tip for one of their boys was quoted as 2500 for 1.5 hr. When I spot him on Grindr and asked what his rate is , response was 5000 for 1.50 hrs for hotel visit
