There are now two places with similar names in two different municipalities on the east side of Guanabara Bay. I thought that was clear by now. One is "meeting point" (SG, in its bairro Zé Garoto!! LOL) and the other translates as "found" (Niteroi). For the latter, in lieu of ground transport you can google "Rio Niterói barca horario" for ferry sched, Visitors, make sure you sort it out ahead of time, patricularly if you are in the habit of entering a venue name rather than address details in your Über app. By car from Rio, Encontru's is quite a long circuitous route north, across bridge, then a short jaunt south in Niteroi.

It appears that Encontru's is new, sleek and modern, and has changed up some procedures. Cheaper pro massage, programas arranged at bar not reception, cheaper entrance with your own towel/sandals, hopes to go 24/7 and onsite or annex love motel. This would work out well if you wish to spend overnight or a few days or miss the last ferry back across the bay. Is a busy populated area with upscale shopping centres, etc. Question is, will it draw visitors away from Rio who get locked in to Zona Sul thinking and preference, or will Rio continue to draw off the Niteroi talent that might otherwise patronize a Niteroi establishment, or will Niteroi lads favour the anonymity Rio-side?

In contrast, Encontru's is in Niteroi, and walkable (1 km) from the ferry terminal. Also worth exploring and much cheaper admission than in Rio.

CPF is gov't ID in Brazil. Weird. Check your account settings to make sure you have entered your personal profile info correctly, including your zip code. It is not uncommon when buying tickets online for Brazil to be asked for CPF, but for Airbnb it should simply patch thru to your payment info in your account settings. So also check that your credit card info is correct and that you have entered your zip code if allowed even if optional. If you are new you may end up calling HQ. You may also face the nightmare of profile ID verification requests coming up, even in Brazil if you need to make changes when there. Try to sort these out ahead of tine at the highest verification level. Use a profile photo that is the same or very close to whatever gov't issued ID you may need to scan. They use recognition software. I believe that higher level of ID may be spontaneously requested by a host. Get it done ahead of tme. Good luck. Call Airbnb, don't waste your time here.

I don't conflate accuracy with representativeness. All half dozen or so poll sources and their particular sample constituencies are fairly longstanding. Accuracy has to do with tallying and margins of error. What is most relevant is the within-sample constituency consistency over time and baseline data for the subject. I know what other posters wrote before and following my visits. My Brazil experiences, in contrast, fairly closely match price descriptions on the forum. You can also pay top dollar there for niche providers. I myself was not surprised in RD after cross-comparing prices for accommodations, groceries, and things like orthodontic work such as Invisalign. And I have cross-compared rates for trade for 33 years. I debated for months whether to contribute my realities because it is not of tremendous concern that virtual strangers get a bit of a surprise, and I knew what I offered could be heretical. However, I took the forum-sourced knowledge into what were sometimes labourious negotiations, did not rush, walked away from a number of bid passes where providers left good money on the table, relaxed and focused much on sightseeing, let my brain rule, and basically did what I thought were the right things. I accept and like some enacted dominance from providers, but cash slavery has not one single page in my playbook. I am very happy with my business skills in Brazil and Spain, as well as decades of strip club bargaining. One central problem in comparing experiences is the appropriate restrictions on sharing images. I cannot extrapolate from a pisser or sphincter what somebody looks like ... parenthetically, though, wonder why the hitched Mssrs Tennis-Ace pay for it. I am still learning the ropes and trying not to hang myself or get tied up in knots by or over them, but my limited experience so far amounted to a much vaster price range compared to Brazil ... 2,000 at the minimum end for rather average but vetted street pickups not very exciting, through to 4Gish the most common setpoint nothing mindblowing yet, up to 8,500 for a very hard driven bargain incl finder's fee for a not widely available stripper dude one of the best bodies in my lifetime but less remarkable face and a bad eye infection (his). I have to say his physique and aubergine were perfect and worth it. My sense is that the type of guy I would want in future is up there close to the 10,000 mark ($200USD), far more expensive than the equivalent quality in Brazil, and a great paycheque for RD. Though I think it is likely that over long-stay fishing expeditions and ramping up the Spanish I could discover some remarkable repeatable gems for much less than 10,000. Or knock down higher prices for initially greedy tough-bargainers valuing repeats. For now, I am getting impressed with some promising listings in Colombia.
