If you don't mind sharing, which shops have you visited? I will arrive in Bangkok next Thursday and have a list of shops I want to visit. Would be interesting to know which shops you would recommend to compare with my list.

At my age, I have no desire to check out a hostel. Just not that adventurous anymore. lol. Prefer the comforts of a hotel with all of the amenities.

On some of the massage websites I have seen photos of therapists labeled 'Top / Flexible'. I assume that means they would also consider being a bottom.

Was thinking about trying Green Massage on my upcoming trip. It is on my list of possible places to check out.

Not a clue, here, and I have no idea what all of the hullabaloo is about Bad Bunny performing at the halftime show. Anyone care to explain that to me???

I must be honest and say that I am really not much of a sports fan to begin with. Whenever we had family get togethers, the men were always huddled around the television watching some sporting event while the women were in the kitchen preparing food. I was always in the kitchen with the women! LOL. The only time I have ever attended an actual sporting event was in high school when I was in the band. The marching band would perform a half-time show at each home football game. That could never be taken by anyone as being a sports fan or football fan. Like most things, I think people can get carried away with sports (take it to the extreme). I personally do not understand how people can play a sport where you literally physically attacked and beat up. That isn't something I would classify as fun, and as studies have proven is not only dangerous but life threatening. I know nothing about rugby, but also know nothing about American football.

I live in Colorado now. Most of my adult life I lived and worked in the SF Bay Area (San Jose). I have one sister who lives in Denver as well as my two nephews. That is the only family I have. Due to some health concerns after I retired, I decided it was better to live closer to family. This decision was made because when my parents were alive, my mother had many health related problems and they lived in Florida. With just me and my sister, we both made multiple trips to Florida dealing with family stuff. I did not want my sister or nephews to deal with the same thing for me being in California. So, I moved to Denver in July 2024. I am definitely not accustomed to the cold weather or winters here, which is why my friends offered me their condo in Pattaya for the winter months. Days are currently pleasant here in the mid to upper 70's, but nights get quite chilly now. They have already had snow in the mountains. Getting around in the snow and ice last winter was definitely a challenge for me, so if I can avoid it this year I will.

Thanks for that info. If I do return in January and stay in Pattaya, I will definitely consider the extension in order to avoid winter in Denver.

Think I would prefer to off someone from the clubs who identifies either as bi or gay. I am not sure someone who is straight but 'gay for pay' would provide the intimacy I am looking for regardless of role (T/B). Maybe I am wrong about that...just my perception.

and i need to wait until January of 2027 if that little , sigh Ten more days until I leave Denver for Bangkok. Getting excited now. Arrive on 10/16.

November/December: Grand Light Festival Bangkok
jimmie50 replied to emiel1981's topic in Gay Bangkok
Looks like I am going to miss all of the fun. I will still be in Thailand when the festival begins, but be in Chiang Rai/Chiang Mai area at that time. -
Mentioned this earlier in a previous thread...I will be in Bangkok October 16-24...if anyone is around during that time and wants to meet for a drink, dinner, club visit...would be nice to connect with some other forum members while there.

My straight friends have a condo somewhere in Pattaya. We drove down on one of my previous trips and spent the night. I am not sure of the exact address, but I remember it was near the famous Walking Street. We went to the beach, but otherwise didn't do much exploring. Originally, when I first started planning my upcoming trip they offered the condo to me for the winter months to avoid the worst of winter weather here in Denver. I was wanting to go to Pattaya after my tour and stay two or three months. Then I learned about the change in visa from 90 days to 60 days. Also, my sister scheduled knee replacement surgery around Thanksgiving, so I need to return to help her out during recovery. So, that put the kibosh on the Pattaya part of my trip. I am thinking after the holidays I might plan a return trip to Thailand and go directly to Pattaya for two months to avoid the winter here. Not sure if it will all work out just yet, but interested in exploring the Pattaya area.

I assume this new fee will be rolled into the airfare price rather than something that is collected when passing through immigration upon entry?

I am not sure about Bangkok, but I know there are companies here in the US that will take old photos, negatives, videos, etc. and restore them. My father enjoyed photography as a hobby. He had a decent 35mm camera and a dark room set up in our basement. He even won a few awards with his photographs. Many of the family pictures are on slides. My sister and I have kept the slides all of these years, but neither of us has a slide projector. The nephews have never seen most of the photos of us when we were growing up. We recently decided to take them to one such company that will take the photos and transfer them to computer files. It has been ages since we have seen any of these photos, so it will be nice to reminisce and share them with the rest of the family. You might be able to find a photo restoration business in Bangkok.

Any experience bring guests back to Ibis Styles Silom?
jimmie50 replied to paulfort's topic in Gay Thailand
Even thought the rooms might be smaller, since I am traveling alone I don't think it will be an issue. I like the location and the fact it has a pool. On the outside chance I do go to one of the clubs and bring a young man back with me to the hotel, I don't believe I would do long term, so it wouldn't be for the night. I think I could handle another person in that small of a room for a few hours. As long as it has a king size bed and a shower, we should do just fine. -
What we don't know is the back story. Perhaps his family had cut him off financially and this was an act of desperation. Perhaps he has been protected and sheltered by his family his entire life and he felt like they would rescue him regardless of the consequences. Perhaps he simply wasn't thinking and lacks common sense. It is hard to know what would cause a young person with such an upbringing to turn to such a venture, but I doubt ignorance will be an adequate defense.

I cannot speak about such attacks in the UK, but as far as the US goes it has existed for a very long time. While the methods and level of intensity has changed in large part because of technology and social media, such attacks can be traced back to the earliest days of this country…even with some of the founding fathers. Partisan newspapers were established during the presidency of George Washington for the express purpose of criticizing the administrations policies, as well as Washington’s character. A journalist hired by Thomas Jefferson’s supporters attacked John Adams, who in turn hired a journalist to attack Jefferson. This was in the 1800 election. As president, John Adams and his Federalist Party passed the Sedition Act to stifle criticism, making it a crime to publish false, scandalous and malicious comments about the government. With all of the false accusations fake news that can be found online these days, I almost wish we had such a law on the books now. lol. Anyway, the law was eventually overturned but gives a perfect example in this country about how long the practice has been in existence. The first known attack ads in on-screen format appeared in the 1934 California governor’s race. We certainly cannot forget the dark days of McCarthy’s accusations of disloyalty and communist ties that ruined many careers and personal attacks became more vicious. Does this sound familiar to anyone else? Certainly seems like someone else is following the same playbook these days. Unfortunately, along with this increase in vocal attacks has come an increase in violence and physical threats. I fear this will be the norm at least for the next 3.5 years…if we survive that long.

Similar experience here. Also issues with erectile dysfunction, but take sildenafil and that works for me. I was doing the testosterone self-injections maybe ten years ago for a few months but really saw no significant change, so we discontinued it. Weight has always been a problem for me as well. Partially genetic, as my mother's side of the family all had weight problems as long as I can remember. My father was as skinny as a rail and could eat anything and everything and never gain an ounce. Frustrating that I got all of those genes from my mother. lol. When I am heavier, I physically don't have the desire to be as sexually active. I don't really believe for me it is psychological. The stamina and desire just isn't there when I am heavier. The heaviest I have ever gotten was 124, but current weight is around 107. Could I lose a few pounds...sure, but I am happy with my current weight and able to stay active.

I honestly cannot believe I am going to say this, but we cannot blame Trump for all of our ills or the current situation. The political polarization really started in this country back in the mid or late 1970's. Back then, the majority of the House and Senate were more moderate or central in their thinking, and much more willing to compromise. Over time, those considered moderate or central have gradually either retired, been voted out of office, or become a minority. Both parties have become entrenched in their extreme ideologies...republicans to the far right and democrats more to the left. Compromise has become almost impossible with neither side interested in what is best for the country or citizens as a whole. It is all about what is best for the party. These strong leanings really took hold by early 2000's, long before Trump even thought about running for office. The overall system has been broken for some time with no apparent end in sight.

Once again, such beautiful photos and amazing adventures. I am jealous of your travels and experiences.

Never heard of him either, nor about this case until now. Sad situation indeed, and something I really do not understand. As you said, I am afraid many of the victims live with the end result for the rest of their lives...often feeling as though they are at fault. Tragic that for some it will end in suicide. I personally find it disgusting.

Yes, I am planning to report...although I am not sure anyone will be interested in the part of my trip when I am on the group tour. Might leave that uninteresting part out, but definitely the time in Bangkok and Chiang Mai. -
May need to check this place out when I am there in a couple of weeks. What is up with the 'X' black tape over their nipples on the poster? https://www.facebook.com/GASSbkk
