I see this hotel receives generally positive reviews from our esteemed members and I've suggested it to friends of mine who are new-ish to Bangkok. They like the location and it's within their budget. They told me that for a couple of hundred Baht more they could get breakfast with the room. Any feedback about the breakfast buffet and anything else worth knowing about the hotel would be most welcome. I did tell them that no visit to Patpong and Silom Soi 4 would be complete without paying homage to Guido's pussy and they've promised to give it a few strokes. 😉

She's been home for a while now, thanks for asking @jimmie50. The flu is totally gone and she's a lovely, active kitty who's growing up very fast. She's playful and has a good appetite. Likes to kick the sand in her litter tray all over which Daddy has to clean up. 😅 Quite a screamer too, like so many of our members here. Sadly, the blindness appears to be permanent and doc suspects it might due to an ulcer she had from birth. Nevertheless, doc says she is healthy and can lead a normal life. I'm slowly acclimatising her to her environment and I have a feeling she's going to be a tall one as she's got long legs. She starts to scream when I enter the room but stops immediately when I pick her up for a cuddle. She loves to be held and likes to lick my face. I think she thinks I'm her mother. 😅 When she's a bit bigger I'm going to put her with a surrogate, an affectionate, timid, older female cat that I have who loves taking care of the younger ones. I love them to bits. 🫶

Yup and I'm glad spoon stood his ground. But will it alter Jupiter's mindset and make them begin to appreciate the concept of fostering and maintaining customer goodwill? No, because they know from experience that some wuss will come along and succumb to their gauging tactics. To them, no customer is indispensable - perhaps one could take a leaf from their book and learn that no bar and bar-boy is indispensable. There are plenty of fish in the sea; remember that the customer is the fisherman who throws the bait, hooks and reels them in. Not the other way around.

I'm curious as to what time people start their evenings for a night out on the town and bar-hopping? Does it start with an early dinner and you guys go on from there? I try not to eat after 7 PM which means I have dinner relatively early following my diurnal activities, then return to my hotel or apartment to rest, shower, before setting out again around 9.30 or 10.00 PM. I try to look presentable and dress appropriately even at the most humble of venues but these days shorts and t-shirts seem de rigueur at the gay establishments. It seemed to me that I was often among the latecomers at the bars and occasionally ended up not having enough time to go to the venues that I wanted or see the shows that I wanted to see. What about you all?

Also, Vietnam isn't that far and you could visit. And, if you're on the same clock as my beloved stamp-collecting aunty, those six months can magically turn into two weeks. 😏

I looked up "shyer" as I had never heard of the adjective "shy" being modified this way but apparently it's not wrong. I would have said "more shy" which is more commonly used. One uncredited entry on reddit (I know, I know, don't judge me🙄) says "shyer" is used in the Queen's English, which I find even more incredulous. A regional or class variation perhaps. Anyone care to comment? @Keithambrose?

@Lewislord Welcome to the forum. What do you mean by "joint massages"? You and your partner in the same room being massaged by two masseurs? That's not unusual but more common at straight massage parlours. Very common at hotel spas. I think gay massage parlours should offer this service too but I'll leave it to the experts, of which there are many here. You've come to the right place! As for your second question, it really boils down to the masseur and his skills, how many clients he's had that day, your expectations and the chemistry between the two of you. You may receive a great massage but poor afters, a so-so massage but great afters, or both the massage and the extras could be great...or bad. Good service in one area doesn't necessarily mean the other will be compromised. There's no exact science to it and as my stamp-collecting aunty likes to say, "Just go!"
