  1. I've been to Xi'an once: 1980. Because there wasn't a foreign tourism network developed yet the small group I traveled with was housed in a military/VIP guesthouse compound. As I left the compound and walked the streets nearby people gathered around me. Several students of English spoke with me and the others around me were so impressed with them. I had a good camera with me and let people look through the lens, and they were fascinated. I also had a Polaroid camera, took a couple of photos of individuals and there was quite a commotion when others viewed them. It was as if they'd never seen a photo of themselves before - which I don't think they had. The Terracotta Warriors were stunningly impressive.
  2. I lived most of my life in Chicago and during the Summer months, and into early Fall, I and several friends would rent a house in Saugatuck usually for a week at a time. 2 or 3 times during the Summer. There were occasions, though, that we'd rent individual rooms at Douglas Dunes and for several years the restaurant there was one of the best i the area attracting gay and straight. I haven't been there in the past 15 years, though. The beaches at Saugatuck are fantastic and the Lake Michigan water can be warm into late September; I came close to buying a small cottage nearby. I have many great memories of Douglas Dunes and the area (particularly in the 80s/90s).
  3. About three decades ago there was a serial killer targeting gay men in Acapulco; Mexican and foreigners. At the time, it was estimated two dozen gay men had been murdered. An American friend of mine living in ACA at the time was one of those victims. There was never an arrest.
  4. One of the greatest entertainment shows on television, at the time. Totally fraudulent, but Tammy Fay, Jim ... the drama! Her makeup! I watched it for entertainment value, only. Drag Queen friends of mine loved Tammy Fay. Who could tell the difference? Drag or a real woman?
  5. It hasn't dawned on you that you were, are the rude old man in this situation? Mind your own business.
  6. I have no tats. However, on occasion I've asked guys with them, about them. Then again, when I lived in Chicago and rode the subway to/from work ... I'd ask an amputee sitting next to me about the loss of their limb(s). In both those situations, those I asked seemed appreciative with the question. I think the tone of voice makes a difference.
  7. Yes, he was a hot young man. I don't doubt there were many guys who tried to go down on him.
  8. Ex-porn star Austin Wolf sobs as he admits child sex crime: ‘I knew it was wrong’ “Former porn star Austin Wolf sobbed as he claimed to take responsibility for getting a minor to engage in a sex act during a Manhattan federal court hearing Friday. … The adult star, real name Justin Heath Smith, pleaded guilty to one charge, enticing a minor to engage in sexual activity, during his plea hearing … Lesser pornography charges will be dropped at Smith’s sentencing, although feds had busted him a year ago for allegedly exchanging hundreds of child porn videos — including one showing a 10-year-old child being bound and raped, prosecutors announced … He will face a mandatory 10 years in prison, and a maximum punishment of life in prison … “ Source: https://nypost.com/2025/06/20/media/ex-porn-star-austin-wolf-to-plead-guilty-to-child-porn-charges/
  9. @ R$200 = US$37 (at today's exchange rate). Given the assumed/anticipated quality of the GPs available to choose from compared to for-hire in the USA, and many other countries ... still a bargain. In the past 20 years has the USD exchange rate program cost risen much compared to today's? I don't think so.
  10. Yes, for a long time ... one of my areas of special interest!
  11. Well, it didn't rain ... yet.
  12. Congratulations!
  13. SMdA is a conservative behavior community. Many gays and lesbians either live or visit there, but mostly in a reserved manner. I don't think there are any massage places, gay or straight. Grindr is active there, but I didn't attempt any hook-ups.
  14. Many, probably most ... but I'm thinking (but don't know) some are people in the USA without permission.
  15. As we learned in the aftermath of the Black Lives Matter demonstrations: some of the provocateurs were plants from right-wing organizations. So it's not just the left, but the extreme right.
  16. Mavica

    Rhyheim guys

I love this guy, and his videos.
  17. There are always provocateurs infiltrating and looking for the opportunity to provoke violence - overshadowing those peacefully or non-violently exercising their rights to protest. Anarchists oftentimes believe if they provoke violence and innocent demonstrators are roughed up by police, arrested, the masses will rise up and overthrow whichever government they protest. It's part of the playbook ... and President Trump is just waiting for situations such as this to exercise his authoritarian tendencies.
  18. Yes. They're stand-alone someone in the middle of the floor of the restaurant.
  19. Apples to oranges comparison, IMO.
  20. I'm an active contributor to Trip Advisor, with 120+ restaurant and hotel reviews. I often book lodging with booking.com and post reviews. Inexperienced travelers likely have difficulty distinguishing bogus reviews from the real, honest one; I don't.
  21. Yes. McDonalds has been changing its interior store designs. Gone are the self-service beverage service. Counter help are also running orders to pick-up orders outside. Drive thru and Uber eats pick-ups are the priority. The company has done its prioritization. So have I.
