  1. Well, it didn't rain ... yet.
  2. Congratulations!
  3. SMdA is a conservative behavior community. Many gays and lesbians either live or visit there, but mostly in a reserved manner. I don't think there are any massage places, gay or straight. Grindr is active there, but I didn't attempt any hook-ups.
  4. Many, probably most ... but I'm thinking (but don't know) some are people in the USA without permission.
  5. As we learned in the aftermath of the Black Lives Matter demonstrations: some of the provocateurs were plants from right-wing organizations. So it's not just the left, but the extreme right.

    Rhyheim guys

I love this guy, and his videos.
  7. There are always provocateurs infiltrating and looking for the opportunity to provoke violence - overshadowing those peacefully or non-violently exercising their rights to protest. Anarchists oftentimes believe if they provoke violence and innocent demonstrators are roughed up by police, arrested, the masses will rise up and overthrow whichever government they protest. It's part of the playbook ... and President Trump is just waiting for situations such as this to exercise his authoritarian tendencies.
  8. Tanglefoot.
  9. Yes. They're stand-alone someone in the middle of the floor of the restaurant.
  10. Apples to oranges comparison, IMO.
  11. I'm an active contributor to Trip Advisor, with 120+ restaurant and hotel reviews. I often book lodging with booking.com and post reviews. Inexperienced travelers likely have difficulty distinguishing bogus reviews from the real, honest one; I don't.
  12. Yes. McDonalds has been changing its interior store designs. Gone are the self-service beverage service. Counter help are also running orders to pick-up orders outside. Drive thru and Uber eats pick-ups are the priority. The company has done its prioritization. So have I.
  13. I think the cruise line did / does want your feedback, but whomever decided to request it didn't know that particular cruise's demographics. Here's something similar; not really, but a comparison: I frequent my local McDonalds in Florida at breakfast maybe 3 times a week (Egg McMuffin, Sausage McMuffin or Hotcakes and a potato and drink). The demographics of the eat-in clientele is probably 80% in the 65+ age group. Starting this week all eat-in customers can only order from one of the two self service kiosks. Counter orders are not being taken. I know how to use the kiosk, but certain variations from what's listed aren't unavailable or are difficult to locate. English muffin well-done (because their toasting device only warms the muffins); light ice in a soft drink; etc. When I stopped in and was refused counter service several other customers were heard complaining about the kiosks. So, I walked out and went across the street to Wendy's where the breakfast sandwich was as good and the "meal" cost 2 dollars less. This, too, is an example of how the management of a business (this particular McDonalds) doesn't understand its clientele.
  14. Not just men, but women participating, too. Anyone know what it seemed like the entire plane was reacting to?
  15. In the 1990s in the same Soi as Harry's Bar there was a bar with a sign out front "Beer, Bed & Boy $5" and another upstairs of Harry's, I think it was the Garden Bar ... each had, among others ... 16, 17 y.o. for hook-ups. Neither Harry's nor Garden Bar were host / Mamasan bars.
  16. Yes, this discussion is a good reminder to us all that we're oftentimes vulnerable to harm and fraud. I've never been beaten and robbed in this manner, but I have been drugged and robbed of money, electronics, clothing ... and awoke (gratefully) 18 hours later ... in Mexico. It's been 30 years since, though, but a friend of mine in Mexico was similarly drugged ... and died from that ... and another was drugged, robbed and roughed up a bit and survived the ordeal. The drugs in each of these incidents were placed in beverages left unattended on a bar or restaurant table. Yes, I hope this discussion is read widely not just because the incident occurred in Colombia, but because it happens in the lives of gay men ... worldwide. It's not just the newbies who are taken advantage of; some of us who think we're so experienced fall prey, too. Thank you!
  17. I was in San Miguel de Allende and Mexico City for a couple of weeks total this past January/February. I didn't do much cruising and hits on Grindr were few. I didn't see / observe any pay for play opportunities that attracted me. Mexico City is a great destination, finally discovered by travelers who can't quite figure out why they want to visit or what to do when they get there. When I lived there, I cultivated a regular stream of bedmates, and it was enjoyable.
  18. Maybe just go to bed and get a good night's sleep, and start your cruising well rested the next afternoon / evening.
  19. I expect that Leo XIV will support the teachings of the Church he leads; conservative.

How do you know he's a great guy? I might have missed mention of it but is this your first involvement with him? Thanks.
  21. I don't object to or think it's wrong for countries to control immigration but there should be an understandable achievable process followed by which those persons interested in immigrating / temporarily working in countries adhere to and have the opportunity. Immigrants aren't the problem. Persons entering countries illegally - bypassing a process others do honor - is a problem. Unfortunately, worldwide ... the migrant issue is highly politicized.
