Yes, I am taking it with a grain of salt as we all should. What is great for one, it could be a disaster for another. But some of the reviewers say the most beautiful men then you opened it was just okay. Also, I have a very particular taste since I don’t like too much hair or no hair at all, but I know most people love that. It was funny to see some of the GPs that I’ve been in Lagoa or in Rio, and some have a very accurate description, and some are very off. But it weeds out a lot since Garotolocal can be overwhelming long. Also, since most of them are local, you end up finding out some other adjacent info about the neighborhoods and the gossip. Posting in here to keep up and check what places are good. There are so many Airbnbs in Rio. that it is hard to know what is good and what is not. I have never been in an Airbnb as solo travel never appealed to me; I can see it for two or more people. I want to find a good, reliable Airbnb for when the hotel is not an option. I snagged one of my favorite hotels at a great price for my November trip. I was surprised by how many places were sold out or nearly double the price, especially the ones I prefer. Turns out, it’s Rio Gay Pride week starting November 15. Yes, it was at the SP immigration and on a JFK Delta I still intend to carry the old one with me. Brazil Speed-Run: São Paulo RecapHere's a quick summary of my latest trip to Brazil before I head to Montreal and piled up with even more stories. Since I’ve visited more places this time, I’ll be more detailed about the new locations I’ve been to for the first time. I’ll share more about those new places soon. Visa, old passport vs new passport: I recently flew with Delta, and the process was surprisingly smooth. While all Americans at the counter were asked to present their Brazil visa check, the gate agent was completely fine with my new passport and never even asked for my old one. I still keep both passports as a backup, but I didn’t encounter any issues when I presented them at the Brazil counter either. They simply stated that I didn’t need my old passport. Lagoa Thermas: It was just as fun as ever on a Wednesday night. There were plenty of new faces joining the regular crowd, and the quality was pretty good in my opinion..... I met this newcomer from Recife — a gorgeous guy, very slim, with a swimmer’s body. We had a sort of boyfriend experience during my time at Lagoa, but I was clear that I would be having other programas. He was fine with that. But nothing extraordinary happened. The place was clean and well-organized. Doors opened at 3:00 PM, but the crowd was sparse. late forty to 60e Again, left to Lagoa that afternoon. Hot House SP: It was fuller than previous runs. The owner was as welcoming as ever. The dancers were mostly the usual ones, plus two new additions. I had a drink with one of them. There was only one interactive, and I didn’t like it, so I didn’t interact. However, there were three fully dressed guys in a corner near the stage. ShowBar Oficial at Madureira: I finally found this place. The entrance is pretty funny; once you have the address or number, it’s a long corridor from the street to the door. It’s a tiny sex place, but when I went, there weren’t many people, so I can’t say how busy it gets. From what I saw, it’s probably not your muscle-boy kind of spot — more like a next-door mulatos kind of place.When you walk in, there’s a tiny booth to pay the entrance fee. Right after, there’s a small bar that takes up the entire space. To your left, there’s a small room with a TV playing porn. Beyond that, there are a couple of dark rooms. Since the place was pretty empty when I arrived, I left after a few minutes — not much to report. I might check it out again on another trip. Black Cat Lounge Bar This was a new spot for me. It opened pretty late, starting at 11 pm, with interactives at 1 am and 3 am. Since it’s close to Copacabana Beach, it was easy to get to. I really liked it because it’s a nonGP place that’s also a bar and dance club, not too big, with a younger crowd, mostly in their 20s to 30s. I was one of the few older guys, but I didn’t feel out of place or excluded, which was a big plus. The place is very, very loud — if you’re sensitive to loud music, I’d avoid it. But I didn’t mind; it added to the vibe, especially since the main purpose of the space is the dark room. It’s not that dark, though — there are some interesting stairs leading up to a larger, darker area. That upstairs section has sections that are pitch black and is non-stop sex, no invitations needed. I had a lot of fun. dance club / dark room place with so many guys in their 20s, I was a bit cautious at first. But after about half an hour, I was already having a great time upstairs. l’ll definitely go back on my next trip. My two cts. Those places, safe or not? Uber to the door of 202 Uber to the door of 117. then Uber from 202 while still inside to my hotel or destination. The same goes for 117. In both cases, they literally stop by the door. Is it safe? I don’t know because I never lingered around to find out. There’s nothing around there for me. For some more seasoned people, it may be possible to walk to 202, but only if you’ve been there a few times and are familiar with the area. Besides 202, is literally six blocks from the Copacabana beach, and I still usse Uber But as one of the fellow posters here said, there’s nothing in the streets after dark. I just Uber everywhere, and my worries were solved. Especially after a couple of programas at those places when I’m all sore and vulnerable 😛
