Absolutely correct! I think the Axels rest on their reputation as the most famous ("infamous"?) gay hotels in Barcelona. There's nothing special about them other than the fact they're cruisy and friendly inside and out, especially at the pool, spa, sauna or jacuzzi. A stay at an Axel hotel probably works best for those visitors who are too shy or afraid to venture very often to other parts of the city -- or even other parts of the Eixample.

That comment was not addressed to you and had absolutely nothing to do with you. Yet you were desperate enough to unearth something that would boost your terribly fragile ego after being away from these forums for a while. So please do tell us the answer: Exactly WHY do you waste your time here?

It's important to remember that there are two principal sections of the Eixample neighborhood. Thermas is at the southern edge of what's called the "left" section: the "gayborhood" of Barcelona. So to be really close, you want L'Esquerra de l’Eixample (Catalan meaning "left"). More specifically, the blocks in which Thermas is located is La Nova Esquerra de l'Eixample (Catalan meaning "new left"). The other part of the Eixample is the "right" section. La Dreta de l'Eixample ("right") is pretty big, with hotels that can be very far from your gay destinations. But as long as your hotel is close to the Metro L1 line, however, even the right section won't be a problem. As @jensplatta said, the Rocafort station is on Metro L1 and is just around the corner from Thermas. Ride-share services will also take you to Thermas.

But the similarity ends right there -- and we all know it. One of those two people can explain medical facts, conclusions and advice in an objective manner without feeling threatened and insecure. The other one is a bully who thinks that pedantry, posturing, personal attacks and put-downs will bolster his comments as well as his fragile ego.

You responded directly to that comment's author -- 15 pages later. You composed three statements, seemingly based solely on terminology from psychology and psychoanalysis and not on the ways in which that terminology has become part of common usage (or "employment," in your words). And one of those statements is incorrect. CONCLUSION Criticizing others' use of words on public forums often backfires, especially when it's practiced for sport.

Some restaurant owners complained of Chinese filling up doggy bags at buffets. The low point in local-tourist relations here in Thailand's second-largest city was likely a photograph widely seen on the Internet of a person, purportedly Chinese, defecating in the city's ancient moat. "Unfortunately, right now, the feeling is very anti-Chinese. In order to bring out such strong feelings in Chiang Mai people, it must be really bad. Generally, Chiang Mai people are quite tolerant of foreigners," says Annette Kunigagon, Irish owner of the long-established Eagle Guesthouse.

Are there also requirements for Chinese tourists to behave appropriately while in Thailand? They should have to pass an exam showing that they know how to be responsible and courteous visitors. The same requirements should apply to any country that Chinese tourists enter.

Seoul has long had a much more developed transport infrastructure than Chiang Mai. Seoul has had airport buses for many years. There are now 450 diesel-powered airport buses running on 14 routes between the airport and the city. They'll all be hydrogen-powered by 2030. Chiang Mai's airport bus started three days ago! Why don't you give your suggestions and recommendations to Thotsapon Puanudom, the Deputy Governor? I'm sure he'll welcome them. 😘

Hailey Hicks is definitely not based at San Diego State University in California. She's been a full-time resident in Chiang Mai for many years. She worked at SDSU for 11 months in 2015-2016 while she was finishing her four-year degree there. If she claimed to the Pattaya Mail reporter that she still has a SDSU "base," then she was simply hyping her credentials like other hucksters do.
