And then there are those who will say, "Oh, I've never experienced any crime there. I know the city and its culture too well." 🙄

Evidently some passengers don't believe in following the rules. 😎 -
What a sad and boring little traveler you are!
-
From @Tomtravel 's post, you obviously didn't get the joke that the locals blame every problem on Spain! 🤣

They wouldn't be the first! 🥰

Thanks for the link! I see that I still have an account from MANY years ago. 😇

You don't have to worry to much about men in the Philippines. Some estimates claim that 92% are circumcised. You also shouldn't worry about finding "smooth" guys. That's pretty much a given, except for a minority that have some body hair due to ancestry from Europe and the United States.

Drumpf says: "We’ve Been Waging an All-Out War on American Democracy"

The Eastern Europeans (Russians/Bealrusians/Ukrainians) who have decided to enjoy the pleasures of Bali now have a pretty bad reputation on the "Island of the Gods." My friends there recently staged protests of a planned Russian development of traditional village land and ricefields into a new tourist resort just south of Ubud. And... there's also this article: ... Balinese authorities this week called for the end to Indonesia’s visa-on-arrival policy for citizens of Russia and Ukraine, citing a spate of alleged incidents involving misbehavior and various examples of visitors overstaying their visas and working illegally as hairdressers, unauthorized tour guides and taxi drivers. The move has been met with dismay by many Ukrainians on the island, who say that most of the incidents involve Russians and that they are being unfairly tarred with the same brush. “Whenever we get reports about a foreigner behaving badly, it’s almost always Russian,” a local police officer in the town of Kuta told CNN, declining to be identified due to sensitivities surrounding the issue.... And this article: ... The once-welcoming Balinese people have had enough. Confronted with a barrage of complaints, the governor of Bali, Wayan Koster, announced earlier this month that he asked the Indonesian government to revoke Russia’s and Ukraine’s access to the country’s visa-on-arrival program. He said many of those who have flocked to Bali to avoid the war have not only violated a number of local laws but have been illegally seeking jobs while on short-term tourist visas. (Obtaining a visa on arrival is usually instantaneous, requiring a $33 fee and no paperwork.)

Wow! You just demonstrated that you don't understand "freedom of speech" at all. 😁 I'll explain this again: You cannot define or restrict the "rights" that members have on these forums. If you don't like the viewpoints of other members, just don't read them. Isn't that simple? 😘

Almost time for my first trip! Gym question.

This is great news for those of us who love to see manly men sporting manly beards -- on their faces, rather than walking beside them! -
Don't forget that young Russian men have been leaving the Motherland to avoid conscription into the forces invading and occupying Ukraine. The occupation has also caused young Ukrainian men to seek "greener" $$ pastures as long as the war and occupation continue.

No, the topics/threads on these forums do NOT have "admins" or managers. In the world of internet forums, they are simply called the original poster (OP). 🤣 🤡 They have no control over the content in their threads. If they give warnings (or even wornings 😊 ), those are totally meaningless. Members are free to comment and respond in any way they like. This is not Russia! 🤖

Israel Ignored Highly Detailed Warnings of Hamas Attack For Months
Marc in Calif replied to PeterRS's topic in The Beer Bar
We're not talking about Drumpf. This was the George W. Bush administration, which was staffed with at least a few very competent people and which still had very competent civil servants in the relevant executive agencies. They deliberately ignored the warnings. And don't get me started on Rudy Giuliani in New York City. He and his henchman decided to put their "Office of Emergency Management" HQ at the World Trade Center itself. The NY Fire Department under Rudy's administration had a faulty radio communications system. Radios were not even working for fire responders inside the World Trade Center. And Rudy ignored the many issues of air quality and protective equipment during the cleanup efforts: "The air quality is safe and acceptable." These guys clearly didn't want to govern to benefit the general citizenry. They wanted to enrich their pockets. -
Israel Ignored Highly Detailed Warnings of Hamas Attack For Months
Marc in Calif replied to PeterRS's topic in The Beer Bar
The problem was PRECISELY connecting the dots. And the problem was PRECISELY following through on clear, written warnings prepared specifically by the Clinton administration for the incoming Dubya Bush administration. It was the Bush administration that failed to take the warnings seriously -- or else they were simply ignored and unread. -
This was clearly not one of the respected programs like Fulbright, which sends only very qualified and vetted English teachers abroad. It was also probably not the Department of State. Maybe it was an NGO or even a (sketchy) private enterprise that sent her, especially some religious organization during the Bush or Trump years?

So you think it's fake? Read this article: ...
