Past few days there have been showers, but not all day. Just an hour or so usually. First week was almost completely dry. My previous bar reviews are in the first 15 pages of my rambles. I don't know what they call themselves. I use the terms models/dancers/performers... just nicer than calling them whores. It's a respect thing. 😆

If it rocks I'm in. I listen to everything from 70s Seger to 80s hairbands to 90s grunge to 2000s emo punk and everything in between. But my point is to the poster who felt the need to tell us he wouldn't want to go to a Muay Thai boxing match for fear of catching HIV... on a message board that revolves around activities FAR more likely to expose oneself to HIV. The irony cracked me up.

Late Monday night update. We now have it ladies and gentlemen. Or gentlemen. Can't imagine we have many ladies in the crowd... at long last, here's my Top 10. I wandered into Moonlight just as they were about to kick off the show. My initial impression was ugh here we go again when I walked in and saw a handful of guys stonefaced and emotionless standing on stage seeming to be miserable. The mamasan chatted me up but wasn't employing the high pressure sales tactics even though at the time I think I was the only customer in the place. Eventually there was some motion on the stage and guys cycled in and out. There were 4 or 5 cute guys out of the couple dozen or so. I liked the layout of the place. You can't be far from the stage. Staff was decent... a few of the waitstaff were cute. I'm impossible to offend, but I did cringe a little when they played a remix that had the Asian chick doing "Me So Horny, Me Love You Long Time." Evil me cackled laughing inside. One thing that set Moonlight apart is they were cool with you taking photos and video when they are doing the model lineup. I thought that's pretty brilliant on their part. Many will post it to social media ... or say on a message board with creepy old men. 😆 I'm sure the models hate it, but I had to wait to be told twice that it's kosher. After they got past the awkward standing on stage thing, they finally got to the routines. I was glad the performances were from the actual models and not outdated extras or drag queens. There was a drag queen but she was accompanied by 2 of the dancers. The show was nowhere near the level of Jupiter, but much better than most in Silom. Within 30 minutes the club was probably 2/3 full but mostly with groups of young women. One looked to be a bachelorette party. Got the answer to my own question from earlier today btw at least for Moonlight. 2nd drink is 250 or 350 for a cocktail. I stuck around for about an hour. I saw enough... Moonlight doesn't come in at the top of my Top 10... but it's far from the bottom. Without further adieu, here is my final top 10... I'm still debating on switching #1 and #2... it's so close. Jupiter Dreamboy Freshboy Moonlight Super A Goodboy Banana Boy Hotmale Tawan Natureboy The night ended with a Bangkok downpour. I ducked into Foodland to try their chicken pad Thai hoping the rain would pass. Nope had to Grab. Have to give props to Foodland though... not for the chicken pad Thai... it was pretty forgettable. But they had staff out sweeping water off the walkway and a guy carrying a giant umbrella helped customers to and from their cars. You don't see that kind of service much in the US.

Monday night update… coming to you live from a Grab en route to moonlight. The Muay Thai might was fun from the front row. Couple of the fighters were 🔥 stay tuned for the not all that highly anticipated completion of my top 10.

Exactly. The entertainment factor is lost on a lot of these places. Make your cast members look like a star. Showcase them. Make them seem bigger than life.. unattainable. When these places like Good Boy and Hotmale just shove a bunch of depressed and defeated looking guys on stage who are questioning their life choices with a number stuck on their underwear, it's pity I feel more than excitement.

Monday afternoon update... Stopped by Arena and Titan for a moment since that shopping center is pretty much across the street from my Airbnb. Just popped into both for a second as I'm getting ready to head to the boxing event. Arena is definitely not for me, but if you're a muscle lover, I totally see the appeal. Walking in to a gym setting is an interesting gimmick. All the guys were beefy and older as advertised. Just not my thing. Titan had a super cute twink at the front desk. I've been getting their daily lineups on Line. From all I read, the price is too high. And none of the therapists seem next level. But they're all reasonably cute. Titan might get some business from me if I get the late night hornies since they're so close and open until midnight. Didn't go past the lobby but seems very upscale. I guess it should be for that price right? I think they're fighting an uphill battle given their location. Very little foot traffic as they're tucked away in the back of a really basic shopping center.

Many guys can't fathom why an older man would want a twink. To each his own. I'm not heavily into it, but it's a big part of their heritage. I'm not much of a soccer fan but I always go to football games when I'm in South America. I feed off the energy of those who are there. Same with concerts of artists I may not be that into. But generally I'm way more into masculine stuff than gay guys. I'm weird. I like metal. I like sports. I am bored to tears if you drag me to a musical or expect me to vibe with Britney or Gaga.

Monday morning update... 2 more days in the 'Kok. Still gotta work in that visit to Moonlight. Hopefully tonight. Still gotta have a chat with that stunner at Jupiter too. He would be my first off if it happens. First few days I was too tired and getting acclimated. Plus I did a couple massages. Then this week, the 2 Grindr guys have taken care of my needs and then some. But I've gotta do the off experience at least once. Today Grindr Guy #1 is working so I'm planning to see Grindr Guy #2 and then I'm heading to the big Muay Thai arena tonight. Got a front row seat so should be pretty intense. Then hopefully I'll be back in time for that Moonlight visit so I can round out my infamous Top 10 list. Dumb question for today... I've yet to order a second drink at any of these gogo bars. Is the 2nd drink price the same as the first? I'm not a big drinker but curious if I did order a 2nd drink, it'd be like paying the cover charge twice.

I guess I'm just used to it with American bars and clubs so it's not that big of a deal to me. First few days of the trip I paid right away and got strange looks until I realized they do it here.

He did tell me but it went through one ear and out the other. 😆 He's only here for 4 or 5 days so I'm assuming your air travel theory is correct.

Just did some Google'ing on Asgard. I find the host bar concept fascinating. Being the frugal dude I am, I doubt this will be an experience I repeat. I haven't partaken yet but hope to once. But I'm the same way. Whether it's massages or bars, Silom is just easier. So for this trip I haven't ventured out much beyond. Maybe on the 2nd leg of the trip.

LOL you're too much. The close call I did have today though is when Grindr guy #1 and I were snapping pics at the temple. He saw the thumbnails In my camera roll and I think he saw some pics from last night with Grindr Guy #2 at DJ Station. Oopsie. Next opportunity I had to be alone, I used the iPhone hide feature on those pics. 😆 There are no wedding bells ringing with any of these guys. They know I don't live here. They know I hope to next year. But neither of them am I having the exclusivity talk. Especially Grindr Guy #1... he barely speaks broken English. We are not soulmates. 😉 We just enjoy each other's company, have wild times in the bedroom but he's the first Japanese guy I've been with. It's funny how PDA is way off limits outside the bedroom. I have always noticed how rigid they are. I mean they blur dicks out in their porn. But it's interesting to see the switch the moment we're alone. As for Grindr Guy #2, he's very well spoken. Marathon runner. Cute. Has a good job as well. He'd be more boyfriend potential if that was what was being sought. But he's going back to cambodia in 3 days. I'll be off to KS. So we know it is what it is. So yeah, I don't think either of these guys are wasting their time stalking me to make sure I'm faithful. Nor am I them. Just enjoying 2 twinks wanting to spend time with this old fart without my having to hit the ATM.

Nope.Nap backfired. 2am and now I'm up. Grrrrrr. Alarm went off at 930 but I must have just turned it off.

I’ve done the evening nap a few times, but it screws me up. Just looked at my steps. As you can tell normally a lazy ass. Doc is gonna love this data. Plus the amount of cardio I’m getting in the Airbnb itself should come for something.

Sunday evening update... One of those nights I am hoping I can muster up the energy to go out. Just got home from spending a day with grindr guy #1. We did breakfast at the pancake place here in Silom. Dessert happened up in my room. God damn his body is phenomenal. As usual I completed activities before him lol. Then we took a nap which was adorable and unplanned. Woke up and did the tourist river boat. What a bargain for five bucks. Jump on and off all day with a bunch of stops at all the typical tourist places. Finally did my first temple. Not being a religious guy, the appeal for me was photography. The pic below is my new wallpaper for my cell. We had a great Italian meal near Nana. Olive Kitchen I think it was called. Jumped back on the boat just in time for sunset and before the rain kicked in. Now I'm back at my place. Already called off plans for grindr guy #2. I legit do have a bit of a cold. He and I will get together tomorrow because grinder guy #1 is working all day. The big question will I go out tonight? I hope so. It's 730 right now and this bed is really really comfortable.

I can't imagine him not looking perfect. So many guys have caught my attention for 20 minutes, but I'm still thinking about him 24 hours later. There will definitely be an encounter before I head to Ko Samui this week. He doesn't have to do a thing lol... I think if I hire him for an hour, he can just stand there like a mannequin and I'll take it from there. And probably be done in 4 minutes.

I don't think they're stalking me. :) I'd be flattered if they were, but nah these guys have lives. Both have good jobs. Smart. Well spoken. I am lucky for sure. I'd never get this attention from quality guys like this in the US. I usually don't get this kind of attention from LOW quality guys in the US. 😆

The Good Boy criticism wasn't so much about the guys. It was just the overall presentation was bad. High pressure. No customers so everyone stares at you. You felt pity not turned on as they stood there emotionless and defeated. It was just a really uncomfortable experience. But yeah if time permits, I'll give 'em another try. Remember I'll be back for 2 more weeks in October. But yeah Good Boys won't be a priority. The only 2 I can't imagine giving another try to are Tawan and Nature. I visited both twice and neither gave me the feeling the third time will be the charm.

LOL I think I'm gonna keep this part of my life separate thanks. We're used to seeing creepy old men with a way too young guy in his arms. It's not as appealing to a normal guy. Doing breakfast with Guy #1 shortly. Planning to part ways around 5, do dinner with #2 and then hopefully Moonlight by 10. We'll see how the day goes. Looking at the social media looks like Moonlight doesn't have my type of guy... but then again nor did Jupiter and I loved it. So I'll def give it a try tonight if possible.

Yeah I don't think they have the power of something like Ambien. And I might just as well have fallen asleep without them. I never take anything to sleep so that might be why they worked well for me. Just seems like they help. Plus they taste good and I have a sweet tooth... so it's entirely possible I am justifying eating candy.
