These were the airbnb's I stayed at. The 1st one was the most recent. It was okay for the time i stayed there good location if your focus is to go to the beach alot. I've personally stayed in apartments and hotels with some success at both. 

Gurl, we know, you drop $600 for a Brazil lay and he's not even a minor social media celeb or something. But, if you gotta it, spend it. 

I really feel this now that Datalounge has also announced it's closing up shop at the end of July, 30 years of history and gossip down the drain. So much celeb gossip you couldn't dare say on other sites without an instant ban. But on DL folks were free to share insider topics and so many other wonderful conversations or random threads. The internet is shrinking and privacy is already a figment of our imagination. I hope Gayguides survives.

It depends on the city. In RJ, 200 Reais (NOT US dollars) is the mode. In saunas, I was paying 150 in the saunas in Rio (100 in Salvador and Recife). The one time I hired from a website (not Rentmen but Gorotodotcom) was about three years ago, and I paid 250 Reais.
Everywhere if you know how to navigate the culture. If you do not, I would avoid the streets and focus on saunas primarily and websites secondarily.
