It is a great show and Lee Daniels, the director, said part of his goal is to get black people to be more accepting of gays in their family. This season has really done a great job at integrating this character in his family and the struggles that black gay boys have in their own community. I also am curious to see the storyline between this handsome lad and the photographer develop or will the ex boyfriend return? A few friends and I was chatting the other day and they heard an interview in which Daniels talked about his love for Dynasty when he was a child and how this show wants to be the black Dynasty. If so, their Alexis is excellent!

Sad news to hear that Leonard Nimoy died. I grew up watching him and Star Trek. RIP

If anyone else is addicted to Empire like I am, HOLY SHIT, I can't get enough of the show, this week's episode had an amazing song that I just had to download. As I have over 8k songs in my ITunes collection, I rarely add anything new unless it means so much to me that I have to have it. This song was one of them. I went to bed the first night thinking about the song and that scene and I knew I just had to buy it. I have now listened to it 20 times and still love it.

I have friends from Syria and they are peaceful, fun-loving and very accepting people. They have not been able to visit their homeland for many years and it breaks their heart that this is what is happening. They have also said that there are so many beautiful places in Syria that no one could believe the true beauty. Has anyone here ever been there? Hundreds of Christians were kidnapped today. Museums and antiquities stolen.

I agree it is a big deal. I don't think this is over by a long shot as the companies that lost will pour tons of money into getting this overturned. But, I was very happy to see this was the ruling.

Bob, some boards using Warning Points as a way to help moderate their board. I do not know if they are used here. I do know that the software allows for moderators and admins to issues them and if a member gets so many in a few days or weeks (I think this is an option) then that members post can be placed to invisible until an admin approves them.

Not sure the difference between the magazine accepting print ads and them putting listing information about them. But, I am a daft one as Willy will tell you. I say this as I see no issue with sex or commercial sex or businesses that promote sex. But, as I said, I am a liberal and open to all forms of sex without limitations. If your magazine agenda is one that desires to stop or limit commercial sex in Thailand, I hope you change that course. Again, just IMHO.

Fox News? I didn't know that was your favorite channel. I never really got into Fox. I much prefer the open honestly of Jon Stewart. But, if you enjoy Fox, just keep watching. It does often makes those that watch it a bit dumber than they were before they started watching. But, if you enjoy it, just keep watching. I'm sure it won't do any relevant damage. Back to the OP: I did not see the 5 statements made incorrect. I did not disagree with them. I did find the opening and closing a bit off base but it was an editorial and not a news article. At least that is the way I read it. People are entitled to their opinions. And, many think that all visitors that go to Thailand are going for the sex trade. That is not the case. But, it is widely accepted among many around the world. It does not make it true, it just makes it what many think. And, I have not seen the old men sitting around drinking beer for breakfast in the gay community but I have in other ones as many go for a short vacation and stay drunk the entire time. I don't think this is indicative of the expat community that lives in Thailand but I do think it represents some that visit.

I am getting older every day and I love being a sexpat. i see no shame in that at all. I also enjoyed the article and agree with many of the points. The vast majority of guys in the country are not moneyboys. Thank goodness for me, some of them are and they are easily available. I read this as well and was very very excited. Although, I am surprised you are panting at anything under 8 inches. I did think American Horror Story was a bit odd last season. I hope it gets back on track. Have they said the theme yet?
