I have no problem with requiring service for young people, both male and female. But, I would never force military service on some one. However, in your scenario, where they can choose Peace Corp, Red Cross, Military, or other forms of structured volunteer organizations, I'd be OK with that too. So, would you be OK if they choose to be a missionary for their church? Or, a full=time volunteer for PETA? or the the ACLU? Salvation Army? French Foreign Legion? In other words, would we give them a chance to follow their own path and heart? I'd love to see a way for them to be a volunteer in prison teaching basic high school skills to prisoners if that is their calling. Or, working in an inner city elementary school. It would be hard to structure this but I'd be for it.

Was the perpetrator fired immediately after the alleged incident happened and Paterno was told? If not, and he was only hand slapped, then yes, Paterno should be fired as well and held accountable. From what I read, the coach in question was seen having anal sex with a 10 year old boy. Paterno was told about this and reported things up the chain of command. What happened then? That coach was banned from having boys in the locker room? Was that the result? Or, was he fired? Or, was a police report filed? Regardless of Paterno reporting the incident and passing the buck up the chain of command, if he allowed this guy into his locker rooms for one more day, IMHO, he is as liable as everyone else.

I have spoken to both of my boys and they stocked up on large quantities of food before the stores were emptied. They also bought lots of soda. They both say they are OK and they bought enough of their families as well (what Thai boy would not). However, both said that water was hard to come by in Issan and other parts of Thailand. Have others experienced that? Are the stores in your area running out of items? empty?

I'll be curious as well. But, the USA economy sucks so I don't expect too much of a change.

I don't know much about the new devices but I love my Kindle and I love my Ipad. I can view all my books I buy from Amazon on BOTH devices. For clarity, I like the IPad better as the screen is bright and at night, I need it. In the daytime or outside, I like the Kindle. Both are great devices. If I were going to get another one, I'd get the Kindle Fire as I am not sure what would transfer from the Kindle to the Nook. Anyone else know this?

All "my boys" are safe and OK but their homes flooded. The main squeeze's family had to move out and there is water in pretty much every province in Thailand. The hotel I stayed at on my last trip has shut off its driveway for the past 2 weeks. It is a really nightmare there and might get worst. My hearts go out to the Thai people as they don't deserve this and I hope that it is a fast recovery.

I have never had an interest in Taiwan until this thread. Now, I want to go. If your posts was to drum up business for the gay scene there it worked. I honestly did not expect it to be that open or out in public. I was happy to know this and look forward to a visit there!

Gaybutton runs his board the way he sees fit. It is his board and if you don't like his rules don't go there. I have never understood why anyone would have a problem with that. You know up front what he is, what he expects and to be shown the door the instant you cause a problem. He tells you this up front. He is clear in his objectives. It is his board. He is the owner and he makes all the calls. He says this. No one should get upset with him on his board for doing what he tells you he is going to do. It isn't rocket science. He is in control. He has an Iron Fist. If he doesn't like your posts he will delete them without question. Knowing this at the onset, no one should ever get upset with their posts on his site.

A few comments: 1. Do you know what you are getting into? It is a hard job. 2. If you need any advice, let me know. 3. A section for people "going at it" is a horrible idea. Don't open yourself up to libel and just the idea of that area strikes fear in me. It will either get you in trouble or it will eat up all your free time trying to be peacemaker. 4. Why did you never volunteer as a Moderator of one of the current boards to help them get better as you seem to have a problem with the way they are run? If the answer is you want to do it your way and your way alone, I understand that as well. 5. Good luck! I really do mean this as I hope it is a great success for you. Running a board like this is a lot of fun but also a lot of work.

I have never met a Brazilian that did not try to get his tongue so far down my thought that I thought I was being raped. They are much more passionate than the average Thai bar boy. There are pluses and minuses to each group and I like them both. I have had tons of friends who visited me in Thailand and said they would never be interested in an Asian boy but they feel in love. I have had the same thing with my friends who visit Brazil. The guys are great in both places and anyone who gets to visit them regularly or live there is a lucky man. IMHO

I have NEVER once left a sauna in Brazil without satisfaction. In Thailand, I am satisfied with taking a boy from about 20 percent of the bars. That means 1 out of 5. But, I am not a rice queen. I like all of God's children! And, I am an equal opportunity employer. I wish some of you would visit me in Brazil on my next trip there. I think one of two things would happen. 1. You would be pleasantly surprised at how much fun you have with the boys there or 2. That I have really bad tastes. And, considering I made a living setting up dates for men with hot boys, I think I have pretty good taste.
