You guys have me pegged on being very giddy kiddy and not knowing where I'll end up next. But, money is a factor. I don't have unlimited amounts of money and I like to make it last. If the hotels in Brazil were cheaper I'll be there more. If airfares to Thailand were what they were years ago, I'll be there more. Perhaps I just need a middle ground. I have never been good at staying anywhere for long periods of time but I like having options. With airfares to Thailand going up and hotels to Brazil going up, I have some decisions to make. The end result may be I'll spend more time in Barcelona or Prague but I know know. I am hoping the American dollar gains strength. I have hopes but they are not high hopes. So, like all, I'll have to decide. I will not be spending 5,000 UDS on a business class ticket to Thailand or Brazil several times a year. It just won't happen. I also won't be spending 400 a night in Sao Paulo for a nice hotel. It just won't happen. Perhaps I just just buy a bar in Pattaya and settle down and live off my liquor sales? (to myself for not traveling so much)

At the very bottom of this board there is a link called Mark Board As Read. When you do that and you come back to the site, all the new topic folders are highlighted and the old ones are not. Is that the same feature as you are referring to? It is the way I keep up with topics I have not read.

Great! Looking forward to my guess! I told you to watch out for that Jomtien character. He kept trying to lure the boys smoking on my balcony down to his apartment each day. Shady!

Hey guys. The board is set by default for EST in USA. However, no matter where you are, you can change the default by going to My Settings by clicking on your name and a drop down box will appear. Choose the setting of your choice for time zone. As far as yesterday and today, I just changed that for you so it will give specific date and time. Better?

While in law school in NYC, many of my classmates were NYC Police officers. We were in school together and I respected them and their job. I have watched the way the officers have handled themselves in the Wall Street protests and I'm ashamed of them. They have not done the NYPD proud. Quite the opposite IMHO. As for the mayor, at one point I really supported him and I have always voted for him. His clear ignorance of this situation shows he is really no better than any other moron in the job.

Can I play? I want to see the candy!

Hero's was one of my favorite shows. Not sure why they cancelled. I am glad that he, and others, are being more open about being gay!

He is hot! I liked: Greg McKeon

I am pretty sure the requirements are similar to what they are for Thailand. He needs steady income with proof, money in bank account, a home in his name or a long term business that needs him back in Brazil. I went through this years ago with a Brazil boy and it was not possible for me to do even if I promised to cover his overstay. Without all the right documents and a REASON to return to Brazil, he most likely will not be grated the Visa to USA. I found the easy way to school. If he is accepted into a USA school, even an English language school, and can prove funds to attend, he can get a student visa. That might be the best course of action. But, without knowing his age or financial situation, it is hard to say which visa he would qualify for. Also, if he has a passport and has traveled around the world and always returned, that is a plus in his favor. Just some FYI.

Welcome back! I missed you! As far as the ticket, I would wait till I saw the visa stamp in his passport allowing him to come to the USA. It is not automatic just because someone has a passport from Brazil. Most are turned down. I have been to the US Embassy in Brazil and seen this in person. It all depends on who he gets at the window.

Size Queens dream come true-well almost!
TotallyOz replied to TownsendPLocke's topic in The Beer Bar
I have spent time with Jason Crew on several occasions and he is a hoot! He is funny and witty and keeps you laughing. It is also nice when you see him suck his own dick. He was at my apartment in NYC a long time ago and I had some neighbors over who did not know what I do for a living. Jason was hanging out with me and the lady came over. We were all smoking a bit of weed and the lady asked what Jason did for a living and he said he was famous for sucking his own dick. She didn't believe him. So, he whipped it out and started. Needless to say, I am not sure how long she stayed with her husband. -
IMHO, if you are in LA, NYC or SF the first place of contact is the local Gay and Lesbian Community Center. I did that in NYC when I first came out and joined a group called the 20something's. I had a great deal of fun and met a lot of great guys. I also joined a few other groups and had fun with the entire community center for several years. I think I met some of my best friends at God's Love We Deliver, a group that cooks and distributes food to shut ins with HIV. I'd spend all day peeling carrots and laughing with the coolest group of cats in NYC.

I thought I had pretty good tastes but my guy doesn't even have 5 percent of the votes.

If it is for an hour call, I wouldn't waste my time with that. However, if it is someone you haven't met before and are going to book overnight, weekend or longer, I think a fantastic idea!

I know many people aren't able to afford the frequent travels they once were to good old gay friendly Thailand. I know that my trips have been cut down drastically over the last 2 years. The airfare is to the point that I am not willing to pay to go to Thailand as much as it is much more cost effective to go to Brazil or other places. For those living in Thailand, how has the economic downturn affected your day to day life? If you were on a fixed budget, is the cost of living there really affected? For those like me that travel there, has your trips became less frequent? Do you find you spend less money when you go there? Go out less? Change the location of your hotels or your daily routine?

Interesting as I was in MJ's which is a bar that has gogo boys in Los Angeles recently. Great atmosphere and clean facilities. Of course, I think USA bars have certain sanitary requirements to stay in business. I like the idea of rating bars for cleanliness as it is important to me. There are so many times I go to a gogo bar in Thailand and love the boys but can't wait to get out to use a clean toilet.

Hero is all the way at the end of the Soi. If you turn onto the Soi from Sukhumvit and you are traveling down, at one point you will have to turn left and go around a few curves. If you see you are headed in the direction of the Fraser Suites Hotel, you are going in the right direction. Keep going past Fraser and it is down on the left. Literally, near the end.
