I have never had an interest in Taiwan until this thread. Now, I want to go. If your posts was to drum up business for the gay scene there it worked. I honestly did not expect it to be that open or out in public. I was happy to know this and look forward to a visit there!

Gaybutton runs his board the way he sees fit. It is his board and if you don't like his rules don't go there. I have never understood why anyone would have a problem with that. You know up front what he is, what he expects and to be shown the door the instant you cause a problem. He tells you this up front. He is clear in his objectives. It is his board. He is the owner and he makes all the calls. He says this. No one should get upset with him on his board for doing what he tells you he is going to do. It isn't rocket science. He is in control. He has an Iron Fist. If he doesn't like your posts he will delete them without question. Knowing this at the onset, no one should ever get upset with their posts on his site.

A few comments: 1. Do you know what you are getting into? It is a hard job. 2. If you need any advice, let me know. 3. A section for people "going at it" is a horrible idea. Don't open yourself up to libel and just the idea of that area strikes fear in me. It will either get you in trouble or it will eat up all your free time trying to be peacemaker. 4. Why did you never volunteer as a Moderator of one of the current boards to help them get better as you seem to have a problem with the way they are run? If the answer is you want to do it your way and your way alone, I understand that as well. 5. Good luck! I really do mean this as I hope it is a great success for you. Running a board like this is a lot of fun but also a lot of work.

I have never met a Brazilian that did not try to get his tongue so far down my thought that I thought I was being raped. They are much more passionate than the average Thai bar boy. There are pluses and minuses to each group and I like them both. I have had tons of friends who visited me in Thailand and said they would never be interested in an Asian boy but they feel in love. I have had the same thing with my friends who visit Brazil. The guys are great in both places and anyone who gets to visit them regularly or live there is a lucky man. IMHO

I have NEVER once left a sauna in Brazil without satisfaction. In Thailand, I am satisfied with taking a boy from about 20 percent of the bars. That means 1 out of 5. But, I am not a rice queen. I like all of God's children! And, I am an equal opportunity employer. I wish some of you would visit me in Brazil on my next trip there. I think one of two things would happen. 1. You would be pleasantly surprised at how much fun you have with the boys there or 2. That I have really bad tastes. And, considering I made a living setting up dates for men with hot boys, I think I have pretty good taste.

I guess I just need a nice face and a nice body. Other things for me are just preferences. I guess that is why it is easy for me to have fun with guys in Brazil, Prague or Barcelona. In fact, I normally have as much "sexual" fun in all those place. The thing I like about Thailand is the long term stability of the boys. Most of the other cities I like they are short term and wham bam thank you kind of guys. I am not a rice queens for sure. Well, these are the gogo boys from the sauna I go to in Porto Alegre. Brazilian men like the muscle boys. They like big masculine guys like in this parade. They love them. But, there are just as many twinks in that sauna as muscle guys. That means I have more of the twinks to myself. I wish I had taken photos of my last trip as any twink lover would be in heaven. I do. I love all guys. Tall, short, big, small. I just love them! But, all my long term guys in Brazil in the last few years have been bigger muscle guys. In the years before, they were more the twinky type. Now, I like more variety. Some only like ladyboys and don't realize that is what they love. You are right PattayaMale. YaYa does a great job at keeping everyone informed about the business. It always makes me want to drop by there for drink when I am in Pattaya. I don't think other bars realize the power of the Internet and if they do, they need some guidance. Perhaps they should all hire Ya to do PR for them. He does it better than anyone!

I often talk about loving both Thai guys and Brazilian guys. When I am in Thailand, I enjoy the parades but they are a bit more subdued than the USA. Last night I was in West Hollywood, CA for Halloween and I was at a few bars for parties over the weekend. It was wild and fun and crazy. Not something I see often in Thailand. I have been enjoying it a great deal. I can't remember what show the actor was in before but he was a cop who won a lawsuit after being sent to jail for a crime he didn't commit. I have liked him ever since then. I do find the show enjoyable and I like the characters.

Have you been to Pattaya before? Do you like to be in the middle of the gay scene? Do you prefer to be at a beach area? If you are going to do most of your hookups on GayRomeo it won't matter but most of the boys live in town. If you like roaming from bar to bar, it is easier in town. I lived in Jomptien several times and really liked it. It is quieter and more peaceful and lots of great choices of restaurants. It is an easy commute to Boyztown or Sunee. My last stay was at View Talay 6 and they do rent condos by the week. I liked it the best as I was in the center of everything I wanted. Both of your choices are good, it just depends on what you want to do on a daily basis. If daily beach is your thing, try the beach area and see. Or, split time in a hotel between the 2 areas to test both to see which is more to your liking.

I have never complained the music was too soft. I often complain it is too loud. In Pattaya, there are certain bars that do this often. In Bangkok, most of the bars are too loud. IMHO

Michael and Thomas ran a good place. They were also good to the gay community in Pattaya. I hope that their journeys one days bring them back to LOS and Pattaya!
