I didn't take it as prying.

Thanks. I think many can relate even if they don't think they can. Yes, oh yes! It is over 7 years now and we have never had any major fight or argument. It is the little stuff that gets my goat. I have been pretty tame so far. I don't expect to curtail my activities too much. I'm only in Bangkok for 5 months and I intend to enjoy it daily. But, I am normally a 3-4 times a week sauna guy but with him living with me, it may be down to once or twice a week.

Being a southern boy and growing up in the deep south, I sometimes get a desire for some good southern food. It is hard to find outside of the south in USA. I grew up going to Mardis Gras every year since I was a toddler. Bourbon Street was always a stop and I still remember my youth of looking inside a bar and seeing fuck shows on stage. I collected beads and necklaces for years and years. I marched in several parades with my band. Recollections of good Cajun food are infused with these memories. A friend took me to this restaurant. It is great food and reasonable prices. I had Spinach Artichoke dip for appetizer and Red Beans and Rice with Italian Spice Sausage for the main course. It was very tasty and good. They have special nights and all you can eat plates from time to time. Tuesday is Mexican night and I want to try that one night. The restaurant is a bit hard to find off of Sukhumvit Soi 22 but if you turn onto the soi from Sukhumvit it is the first left. You will walk through a gate and walk to the end of the street. There is the hotel and restaurant. They have masks from New Orleans parades on the wall and the atmosphere is very Louisiana feel. It is not a 5 star restrurant but more of a local dive and hangout. Yet, if you like Cajun food, it is very tasty! The rates were a bit over 200 baht for main courses and some of the stuff 300 baht. But, all in all, I thought I got a great deal. The owner was there and said a big thank you as we were leaving. The wait staff was fast and attentive. I know we have a lot of readers from the south. Give this place a try when in Bangkok and want to feel like you are back home! Having been apart from my beloved for many months after our relationship ended, I found myself in the City of Angels and lost without him. So, like usual, he sends me an SMS to ask if he could come to visit and I said yes. He said how long and I said, "Five months." He said OK. So, the up and down, back and forth of my favorite boy in Thailand is back on again. For better or worst. But, at least I know I completely caved in before he did and he has got my balls where he wants them. So, I guess that makes him the boss now. LOL All appointments and schedules made previously need to be confirmed with him after his arrival. I'll know more when he gives me permission to attend events and outings. jk But, isn't it amazing when you find someone that is perfect for you (or at least the best sex in one country) that you just agree to all their requests? Life is always interesting in LOS but all my friends who visit me say that I should give him a second chance. So, I agreed. That and I just missed waking up beside him.

Pizza Pizza by Yanni at Central World in Bangkok
TotallyOz replied to TotallyOz's topic in Gay Thailand
You are right on target with everything you say! Traffic is the biggest issue. Trying to get a taxi from Central or Paragon in the late afternoon to go to Sathorn or those areas is crazy. I find the Skytrain easy to take and no problem for me. The traffic on Sathorn is a real PITA. I am not sure why it is backed up so. -
I had a review pulled by TripAdvisor once as I wrote a very negative review. It was put up and when I went to check a few months later, it was gone. No e-mail or information was ever sent to me. I was not happy this was pulled without consultation.

I have a trip planned to Hong Kong in a few months and am excited to see the hotel but more excited to see the car. I was always a Liberace fan and this seems to have been made for him.

I didn't find the noise level bad but it is the same as most places on that level. I have been able to chat and have normal conversations there very easily. I have a Japanese lady friend I had lunch with the other day and she is very soft spoken and I heard every word. But, I am able to tune out other sounds pretty easy.

If you are out for a stroll at Central World and want something to eat that is tasty and inexpensive, try Pizza Pizza by Yanni on the 7th Floor of Central World next to the market and the movie theater. They have great pizza (four cheese is yummy) and their lasagna is also very good. They sever pretty fast and the price is reasonable at about 220 for entrees.

Thailand seems to be the place I feel most comfortable. But, it is also the easiest to find nice places to live very inexpensively.

I have wanted to visit Costa Rico for many years. I'd love to know more about other places in the country. Who else has been there? What did you think? I have a friend who once went there 5 times a year from USA until he moved to Thailand. That was 10 years ago and he knows little about the scene now.

New York Rangers forward Sean Avery has given his support to the New Yorkers for Marriage Equality campaign with a 30-second video. Avery is said to be the first New York athlete to vocally support same-sex marriage. The news was first reported by the New York Times. In the Human Rights Campaign video, Avery, wearing a white shirt and glasses, says: "I'm Sean Avery and I'm a New Yorker for marriage equality. I treat everyone the way I expect to be treated and that applies to marriage." After showing two shots of him in his Rangers gear -- with the statements "New Yorkers support full marriage equality" and "Do you?" appearing across the screen -- Avery finishes the clip by saying: "Committed couples should be able to marry the person they love. Join me in supporting marriage equality." "Sean Avery knows what it means to be a leader -- on and off the ice," Brian Ellner, senior New York strategist for the Human Rights Campaign, a national gay-rights group, said in a released statement. "As the first professional athlete in the state to publicly support marriage equality, his voice is sure to resonate. Like a supermajority of New Yorkers, he believes in the freedom of all loving, committed couples to marry." Well, I am a Lit major and I learned something today. Thanks. I will know have to reread this sometime. Growing up in Alabama, this was required reading for everyone in high school that can read. OK, where do you get he wrote this?

LOL Maybe. But, it is action packed and if you liked the first 5, you will like this one. If you didn't see the first 5, well, where you have been?

A visit to Super A GoGo Bar, Solid GoGo, Thai Boy Massage, etc.
TotallyOz replied to TotallyOz's topic in Gay Thailand
Super A was dark and a bit dismal but fun. I call this soi the sleazy soi. I guess you know I like that a bit. In Super A, there were at least 4 boys that I thought were very sexy and would have taken home. That is 4 more than I saw in the bars on Soi Twilight last time I was there. So, I didn't really notice the dimness. However, I did notice that a bell rings when a customer is approaching and they all jump on stage. When the drink arrives, the boys sit down and seem to have zero interest in getting back on stage. Several boys approached us to say hi. I had one boy over for a drink at 100 baht and I was happy with this price. -
It is really scary that this is possible. I can't believe this could happen.

Right around the corner from Mango Tree (one Soi down from Tartawan) are several great bars. They are very inexpensive compared to other bars in Bangkok or Pattaya. First Mango Tree is a fabulous restaurant. If you don't make reservations, you may not get in. Great Thai food. Solid is a fun bar with about 15 or so gogo boys. They have some great looking guys and it is very laid back and friendly. The drinks are 100 baht. I have known the mamasan since the old Boy dot com across from Future Boys. Super A is around the corner from that bar and you have to walk upstairs. The place is small but some fantastic guys there. They have a short time room for 200 baht. The drinks are 120 baht. There were about 25 guys when I was there this past weekend. Right under Super A is a massage place with about 15 plus cute guys. Massages are 500 baht with happy ending. I was not sure the age of the boys there so I did not get a massage. Night Boys is a great bar that is totally renovated and nice. It is quite well-done and has many boys. Nature Boys only had 3 guys working so I didn't go in. But, if you are looking for a fun night in Bangkok with some amazing great gay boys, go to Mango Tree for dinner and then venture on the same soi for all the bars above. A trip to Tawan on the same soi is also fun but not really my type of guy.
