LOL Sony offers much more than gaming. Downloadable movies, etc. Many people bought the PS3 for the Blue Ray. It is excellent and a great deal. I don't play online but the BF did and so do many people I know. Why would you think they had no life if they are playing online games. It is a great break for many who enjoy it. You and I may be of a different generation, but if you don't think your Thai BF's play games, it is you who is mistaken (unless they are all over 35).

I got 3 - 7. The first 2 were before my time. So, was Mr. French but I was a TBS watcher in my teens.

I was one of the saps that was going to buy this card. I had even gone to meet with a rep from the company. Then, rumors started flying around and I thought best to wait. The longer I waited, the worst things seemed to be. I would have easily paid the 1m baht for the visa program and still would today. But, I am glad I did not invest in this as my mind told me never to put any money in Thailand (this program or a condo) as you never know. TIT

Yes, I have a system and the good thing is that the one used for Sony was one the Thai BF created so it was easy for both of us to remember. I used it with all my Thai accounts he had access to. Luckily, I did not use it for hundreds of things. My worry is the CC information. We had it set up for him to charge when he wanted to download content. I am not sure how safe the CC number is now. I have not gone so far as to cancel the card but I am watching it quite a bit. IMHO, Sony should have been more forthcoming with the information regarding the breach and I am not sure they are telling us everything.

Yes, I was disappointed in this. I had to change passwords to many online accounts. The hacker group Anonymous threatened to attack Sony for prosecuting the hacker that posted online the jailbreak for PS3. Sony was not worried about them. Looks like they should have been.

Yes, but for a bit, but I always return.

If you have the new App store on your Mac computer (New OS has it) open it and go to home page. It is on the first page and also under travel. The name is Arrivals and Departures. It is not an IPad app but a Mac app.

Out of curiosity, is this really research or just a way to get people to the site? The poll I saw had only one question. What are you going to do with the results? I don't really care if research or not as I voted anyway. But, important market research? Also, if it was to get people to your site, may I suggest you use http:// before the website. The reason is that this creates a hyperlink to your site and the way you list it, it does not. If you do the way I suggest, it also will bring Google and other search engines to your site. Not that you asked my advice but for what it is worth. BTW: the link is: http://www.out-in-thailand.com/

That is perfect when I form a Bangkok poker group!

The new Mac App store is great and I visit it daily to see if something new is out that I want to buy for my computer. There is a new program called Arrivals and Departures that I love. It shows you up to date information on most airports in the world. When you go to any airport, you check the tv screens for the arrivals and departures. This program pulls all that information into one place and you can easily see everything you need to see. It was nice for me as I have a trip planned to Porto Alegre, Brazil and I wanted to see which other cities the airport flew out of every day. It took less than 1 second to pull up all the information I needed. I love this program and at 4.99 it is s bargain!

I am getting ready to go to Brazil for a holiday. I had had one hell of a time getting tickets on Delta that are upgradeable to Business using miles. They want nearly 4k dollars plus 60,0000 miles for this ticket. Out of curiosity, I checked with Delta for Thailand (more than 2 times the distance) and they were over 3,800 for the lowest upgradable fares. I asked the lady if Delta was nuts and she said the upgradeable fares have been consistently going up for the past year and they don't see this trend reversing. That means it is now time for me to switch airlines. I'll have no problem flying Thai to Thailand but getting something that I can do to Brazil is going to be hard as whatever airline I choose I'll have to be in coach for the first many flights until I get my high status on that airline. Flying is getting more and more expensive. I hope this is not going to hurt tourism in Thailand but I am afraid it will have to have some bad effects.

I went to a place in USA today and the cost was going to be less than 200 dollars. I was thrilled. I pulled out 6 pair of glasses and they looked at them and said they would not do them as they are all designer frames. I asked why that mattered and they said the doctor would not take responsibility for them. I suggested that I would waive this and they still refused to do them. I was quite shocked at this. I have an appointment tomorrow with another doctor but I have never had someone turn down work on glasses.

I love card games and playing them with friends. I tried a few times in Pattaya to get up some card games with friends but few seemed interested. Tonight I had a great night of Pizza and Poker Night with some old friends from law school. It was a blast and we spent the night laughing and having fun. I ended up walking away with a fortune (nickle ante and quarter limit) and I had a bag of change. LOL Do you ever play card games in LOS? What games do you enjoy?

This is very sad news indeed. He was a great man who did many great things for those on Pattaya. RIP

Read this article and the IMF has set 2016 as the year when the Chinese will overtake America as the worlds largest economy. http://www.marketwatch.com/story/imf-bombshell-age-of-america-about-to-end-2011-04-25

I have met many great guys this way and think it is a fantastic way to meet those that have shared similar interests.

Great morphing video of Van Gogh's self portraits. Very nicely done and worth watching.

The site has been down for days and days. It is not usually down this long.

That is interesting. Thanks. I am always fascinated at how technology changes and why. I was talking with my Aunt yesterday and we were discussing when we got a new TV when I was a kid. It was a Zenith and about the size of a desk. We thought we were the luckiest people on earth. I went into her home yesterday and she now has an 80 inch plasma. Naturally, she is thrilled but it brought back the memories of me sitting in her house to watch Elvis's funeral on a small little TV screen.

I have been greatly disappointed with Detla as the cost to upgrade fares have risen dramatically. Ex: going to Brazil, they are asking 3600 and 60,000 miles. It is less to go to Thailand and twice the distance. I have never not been upgraded on a Delta USA flight. But, when traveling internationally, they suck the life out of your wallet.

No dear, only a goal! I am getting close though.
