True story: My mother took my nephew to her friend's house. The lady was my high school guidance counselor. My nephew was about 4 or 5. We called him Lexie. My mother was trying to get him to tell her friend his nickname and she said: "Can you tell Mrs. Paula what nickname your mommy calls you?" He looked up at her and said: "Little Asshole" My mother was mortified as she was a very conservative Southern lady.

Reporting from Tokyo — At the seemingly fragile age of 76, his story is the stuff of Hollywood legend (Well, maybe the seamier side of the San Fernando Valley), a tale made more outlandish because it happened to a buttoned-down salary man in hyper-conservative Japan. For years, a Tokyo grandfather kept a dirty little secret from his family. Longtime travel agent Shigeo Tokuda, who resembles countless older men who ride the Tokyo subway each day, admitted to his wife and daughter that he sometimes performed cameos in small-budget films. But what this senior citizen didn't say was that those scenes, often staged in would-be retirement homes, involved getting naked with actresses young enough to be his granddaughter. Since he was "discovered" in 1996, Tokuda has emerged as a major player in Japan's emerging adult movie genre known as "elder porn." He says he has appeared in more than 350 films such as "Prohibited Nursing" and "Maniac Training of Lolitas." In these scripts, Tokuda always gets the girl. The films play upon well-documented Japanese male fantasies. In each, Tokuda plays a gray-haired master of sex who teaches his ways to an assortment of young nurses and secretaries. Whips and sex aides often factor in the plotlines. "I'm a role model for a lot of men," he says. "I do my best." In 2006, Tokuda's life took a somewhat psychedelic plot twist when his grown daughter intercepted a fax describing an upcoming scene he'd been asked to perform. She and her mother confronted Tokuda, who uses only his stage name in the press. There wasn't the lawyer-dialing and plate-throwing that would take place in many American households. Think controlled, perhaps repressed, anger. "My daughter complained that this wasn't a very nice job to do," he recalls. "My wife worried about my health. She said I was getting old and that this work must be difficult on me physically." Nowadays, Tokuda makes an average of one film a week, earning up to $500 a day. "I told them that I didn't have shame over this type of job," he says, "but that I'd try to be more conservative in the future." "Elder-porn" is a burgeoning industry in a nation that features the world's oldest population and ranks second (behind the U.S.) in the personal consumption of pornography. Japan is also ranked one of the most sexless societies on the planet. A recent study also ranked Japanese couples as among the world's most sexless. Industry executives say proceeds from elder porn — mostly featuring older men and younger women — have doubled in recent years to represent nearly one-fifth of Japan's $1-billion-a-year adult film business. Recently, Tokuda sat down at the offices of an adult film company to discuss life as one of Japan's most veteran porn stars. Dressed in a blazer and casual shirt, he's a slight man — about 5-foot-3, 140 pounds — who wears dentures and has a small but meandering Mikhail Gorbachev-type scar atop his balding head. The Tokyo native was working in the travel promotion industry when he became a fan of order-in room porn flicks. Too shy to frequent adult movie stores, he tracked down the producers of his favorite DVDs. "At 59, I secretly hoped they would offer me some sort of senior discount," he recalls. Tokuda befriended the firm's producers, one of whom made him a proposition over drinks: Tokuda had a "lascivious" face and was invited to try his hand at adult films. In his first scene, filmmakers reduced the number of extras so Tokuda would feel less uncomfortable getting naked. His shyness quickly vanished along with his clothes, and he began slipping away from out-of-office travel company meetings to play porn actor. But after a 2005 stroke (not on the set, he says), he was moved to a desk job by his travel agency. With no opportunity to slip out unnoticed, he retired — not from porn but from the travel industry. The rest, as they say, is Japanese porn history. Tokuda is now a brand name, with many projects bearing the Shigeo Tokuda moniker. A recent installment in his "Forbidden Elderly Care" series has been advertised with such slogans as "Don't Be Ashamed of Getting Old!" and "Lust Is Medicine." Tokuda isn't sure whether he's Japan's oldest male porn actor, but he acknowledges that a few of his biggest competitors — one 90, the other in his 70s — have recently passed away. He's even recognized in public, such as the night two men followed him into a restaurant restroom to ask for his autograph. Tokuda later invited them for a drink with him and his wife. "It's not that I'm proud, but it feels nice to be useful," he says. "My wife is glad that at my age I've still got someplace to go." http://www.latimes.com/entertainment/news/arts/la-ca-cultural-exchange-20110306,0,3073333.story

These are Frank Hurley’s famous early colour photographs of Sir Ernest Shackleton’s ill-fated ‘Endurance’ voyage, as part of the British Imperial Trans-Antarctic Expedition, 1914-1917. Hurley was the official photographer on the expedition. Early in 1915, their ship ‘Endurance’ became inexorably trapped in the Antarctic ice. Hurley managed to salvage the photographic plates by diving into mushy ice-water inside the sinking ship in October 1915. http://www.howtobearetronaut.com/2011/02/shackletons-antarctica-in-colour-1915/

Nothing will ruin a pleasant drive quicker than the sight brake lights coming towards you on the highway. Miles ahead, someone or something has spooked the bejeezus out of traffic and now you're about to pay for it with your free time. The mighty flow of America's highways is about to be plugged by you and a couple hundred of your closest strangers. The next time a traffic jam's iron grip has you in its clutch, you can at least take heart knowing that scientists have figured out why they happen and who's to blame. Follow the jump for this latest infographic on the Science of Traffic Jams by our friends at Car Insurance Guide, and tell us in the comments if knowing really is half the battle. http://www.autoblog.com/2011/03/05/the-science-behind-traffic-jams-infographic/#continued

I agree. Him and Sarah on the ticket is about the best the Republicans have to offer. Or, Newt!

I have several friends from another website that are going to Rio together in May. If there are those of you that want to experience the saunas of Rio but have been worried about doing it alone, this is a great group of guys and the organizer of the trip I know as a good tour guide and travel agent. He has booked the Atlantico Hotel in Copacabana for 105 US a night. It is a good deal for Rio. Plus, he will have boys that are available for touring around the city that speak English and other languages. This is NOT my trip and I make no money from it. But, I wanted to share the link in case others are interested! http://www.maleescortreview.com/forum/index.php?/topic/5844-a-group-sauna-tour-to-rio-in-may/

I hope you are talking about the oral seminar photos. I'm waiting!

Yes, if they are avi or other formats, I use them all on my IPad. It has a connector that all IPads, IPods, etc use that connects it to the USB on your computer and it is a fairly fast way to transfer data. No, it is not necessary. I have friends that put all their movies and TV shows on the IPad to watch and they download for the torrents.

I was happy with the final 13 but thought a few more deserved it as well. I especially like the cute Jewish lad from NYC. I am glad Junbug did not make it.

You are dismissed for being gay but not for molesting children? Jeeze, that is nuts!

I was not really making an assumption. I knew the answer to my question as a fact. You didn't. You guessed. I used logic to determine my answer. Invite me to dinner sometime and I'll teach you logic.

There was no over reaction. One member made 2 posts that were inappropriate. I deleted the offending remarks. I then put him on Moderated Status and told him that would be in place until he can show us that he is going to be a good contributor to the site. He is still free to post on the forum should he decide to do so. However, his posts are moderated until they are reviewed by a Moderator and approved. This board is not the place to bring up issues on other boards. Please respect that. You may disagree with this but it is the way it is going to be. I rarely answer someone back instantly. Give me 48 hours before you start to complain that I am ignoring you. When that time frame is passed, then feel free to make a post on this board about how I am ignoring you. No need to ask your roommate or friend to make the post. No need to make the post on another board. Keep it simple and make the post yourself and state how I should have answered you sooner.

Don't make assumptions. You may assume this but you don't know.

Kjun: I appreciate your response. The posts in question seem to be less than 24 hours ago. Did you want Scooby to answer immediately? When was the e-mail sent to him? If you expect a 2 hour response from anyone on most sites, you are dreaming. However, if things work the way they use to work, I am sure your friend's letter is being discussed by the admin and moderators. That is not an instant thing. Give them time to answer him and please don't get upset when a response to an e-mail is not instant. It just isn't always possible to do that for most people, including myself. I have so many e-mails in my inbox that replying instantly to all but take my entire day. There are to many gogo bars for me to enjoy and I have to prioritize.
-
If that is the case, leave the board and post other places. You don't need to read one board that gets you upset and keep going back for more. There are plenty of other boards out there. But, I agree with Bob, criticize him on his board or in PM's to him or in an e-mail to him (all are public knowledge) but don't bright the fight over here.

That is the threat? I guess I am getting too old as I read that as a wake up call for the poster. I reread all this posters comments. 2 out of 10 were personal attacks. 2 out of 10 had to be edited by a Moderator or Admin. IMHO, the words "warning given to poster" was very polite and calm. Some people get their panties in a wad over the smallest of things. Perhaps they don't have a great deal in their life to get upset about and so they concentrate on the little things. I am not saying this is the case in this instance. But, come on. If you have 2 out of 10 posts edited by board overseers, the words warning given are the least bit offensive I could think of. Kjun: please tell us what thread you were referring to if the above is not it.

Welcome to your roommate. I hope he enjoys the site. I assume the post you are referring to is about Gaybutton? I read the post. I agree with Scooby. This forum is about this forum and not other forum owners. Is that a hard concept to grasp? If your roommate has an issue with Gaybutton, why doesn't he take it up with Gaybutton himself? Why bring it over to this site? Is there another motive? Is there more to the story? Threatened? What was the threat? Tell us more. Inquiring minds want to know.
