I would really think twice about going so far for such a short time, but you are a grown man so the choice is yours. At least you will sleep VERY well on the way back. Are you going to Bangkok or Pattaya?
  2. Taking a financial bath is one thing, but why didn't he leave a million or so in Switzerland? Did he invest his last money in the house and land?
  3. Others might disagree, but I would not worry about a guide on a short, two-night stay unless your odds of returning to Bangkok are almost nil. You are going to have to rest at least a few hours (I hope!!!).
  4. I hope Helios is still in business when I get back. I have always loved the soapy massages.
  5. 500 baht would keep the boys happy for Long Time, which was about $18 US if I recall correctly. I believe my favorite guest house on Pattayaland 1 was about B350/night.. You could get a plate of pork fried rice for B10 from a street vendor. I can not remember drink prices in the bars.
  6. Etiquette and Jomtien in the same title is a bit shocking....
  7. I think you were very wise not to go off on that adventure.
  8. If those guys are straight, those will not be half-assed push-ups.
  9. Burr Shmurr….William Hopper was the man

No shortage indeed. I had several at Winner Boys competing for my attention. It is definitely worth a trip up the soi to take a peek. A month ago, Jomtien Complex was really hopping on the weekends, but no longer. Boyztown, IMO, was rather quiet during my whole visit. I am not sure if the bars on Pattayaland 1 and 2 are going to survive.
  11. Euroboys was closed a couple of nights ago and Winner boys did a land office business. Yours truly hit a good one

It might good for folks in Pattaya going for a night on the town in Bangkok. I might try it.
  13. I have not been there lately, but couldn't some of these places move over by the Super A?
  14. If they do not expect foreigners to follow the dress code, why put the instructions in English?

I believe it was the minimum room---I find it somewhat difficult to tell one class from another at Zing. It did not overlook the pool. I did enjoy my stay, though it may have had to do with who shared it with me .

I must have very good luck at Zing---I think it is well worth the price paid. I might give Agate a try next time for a few days.
  17. The bus gets me two blocks from jomtien . I bet the train station will be a pain in the ass to get to.
  18. How about in-room safes?
  19. The concessionaire where I sat at dongtan said he had four customers all day. I am still trying to figure out if he is extremely polite out of desperation or because he likes me.
  20. Armed with sufficient Dutch courage, I gave Goodboys the full try a couple of nights ago.A good time was had by all.
  21. I would go with company....
  22. I was in business class Taipei-Bangkok so it came gratis
  23. Thanks for all the replies---since I have met so many Cambodian boys, maybe I will go to siem reap
  24. My threat must have worked---I was in the priority line but even at that had NO wait
