  1. thanks for that info. any particular places in Vietnam that are better than others? I'd imagine the big cities have the most going on. Since I've already been north and central I figured HCMC would be worth checking out. But I've seen conflicting reports about the place...too much traffic, hard to get around, etc
  2. I don't know that any of those guys look especially hotter than guys I've seen elsewhere. Even the high end massage places charge less than that, don't they?
  3. I got an email from Qatar today announcing a bunch of sale fares. Don't know if any apply to your gateway, but you might want to look at fares directly on their website again. I've never heard of ASAP. Are they some sort of consolidator?
  4. thanks for the news. Almost makes me want to go back to Pattaya
  5. I was basically going to ask the same question. I was able to join the CR group noted above. Would be interested in other similar groups. And also why you say that they are not for farang? They let me in. Seems like it could be a good resource for finding what you're looking for.
  6. Anyone spent much time in Vietnam lately? I spent a little over a week in Hanoi and then central VN about a decade ago and didn't love it. I am considering giving HCMC a try early next year. The Blued app if full of gorgeous Vietnamese guys doing their thing which has really piqued my interest. :-) Or should I just stay in Thailand and meet the Vietnamese boys there instead?
  7. do all of those cute boys really work at Screw Boy?

    The 13

I had not heard that. All media I've seen says 4 boys are out and 8 boys plus the coach remain
  9. for sure chemistry is important. And if you're an attractive guy with a nice body and friendly attitude that likely helps a lot...as the case with our prolific poster here

    The 13

It's been huge news everywhere. The US networks are leading with the story too...has it's own special graphics and hokey made up news name and dramatic music too. It is great news that the weakest made it out in less time than expected. Hopefully the rain overnight and today doesn't slow them down too much. It sounds like the drainage of the water has been the biggest help in getting them out. When they were talking about leaving them down there for months I wondered how that would be possible. There's a good story in today's Washington Post about the coach. I didn't know before that he is an orphan. And we learned the other day that the kid who was able to speak English to the divers is a stateless person - he's from one of the hill tribes in Myanmar and went to Thailand to get an education. And I guess he's really excelling at that. I also read that some other of the boys are also stateless. Let's hope for the successful evacution of the remaining 9 and all of the people down there helping them
  11. On my most-recent trips to HK I've gone to Aloha Spa (also in Kowloon, very central location). Should book ahead. I like them because they will communicate by email. When I am only in HK for a day between flights that's the easiest way for me to communicate rather than trying to get other comm apps to work. Anyway, they always tell me who is working, I check their stats on the website and make a selection. On my trip last month I wish I had made a different selection. The guy was nice enough, nice body, strong, friendly enough. Massage was fairly punishing. As above, he found the knots in my back and decided it was his mission to make them hurt as much as possible. I had to ask him a couple of times to use less pressure. I showered alone before but we showered together after which was nice since I had a lot of oil on my back. Good happy ending. I wished I had chosen one of the boy next door types instead...I saw one of them going into a room when I arrived and was quite smitten, but I picked the muscular guy this time.
  12. I believe it's been re-branded Cathay Dragon
  13. thanks for mentioning Moonlinght's FB video. some very hot boys there for sure. sounds like lots of women in the audience
  14. there's at least one notorious video producer who had sex (very hard sex) with a number of boys in his videos and videos of just boys with each other. I presume he procured some sort of model release from them. But I seem to recall that he had a rather poor reputation and ended up having to leave the country. there's plenty of porn out there if you need it. Personally I'd rather that the guy and I be focused on each other as noted above.
  15. I actually prefer those late arrivals. Go to the hotel and straight to bed and then the next morning I am on BKK time. You don't necessarily need to connect via NRT. I don't mind NRT though. The one I avoid is Beijing. Depending where you're going from Cathay Pacific connections in HKG tend to work well for me. Korean connections at ICN can work too. But they're all big airports with similar connection experiences. Personally I would go to Colombia given your options. All of those stunning guys with giant penises. (at least the ones doing wecam shows online are)
  16. I think this is just the truism of the gogo bar. This has happened to me the world over. The guys who I am most interested in pay no attention to me while the guys I am least attracted to are all over me.
  17. you forgot to mention all of the gorgoeus fit young men among the attractions
  18. unless you live in or your ultimate destination is the NY area I think it makes more sense to connect elsewhere to break up the trip. Even in business class almost 19 hours is tough. Since I would need to connect anyway I think it makes more sense to change in Tokyo or HKG or ICN. Cathay is adding a flight from Washington to HKG in September. I am hoping to give that a try at some point.
  19. I agree that a new location may be a challenge. I used to enjoy grabbing a bite to eat inside and then sitting out on the patio to watch the dinner theater go by. But it really was location, location, location that was the draw. Maxis has better food but the view isn't quite as good
  20. The only place I ever stayed that wouldn't allow "unregistered" guests in your room was the Siam Heritage Hotel on Suriwong.
  21. There are still a couple of gay bars on 17th St (JR's and Cobalt) and there are a few others (Nellie's Sports Bar is on U St not in Dupont and there's Larry's Lounge on 18th which is not really central Dupont being several blocks from the circle...it's more Adams Morgan). The sleazy area in SE has been totally redeveloped with the baseball stadium and tons of new luxury apartments. Ziegfeld's/Secrets still exists for now, but the new soccer stadium is going up closeby and the neighborhood will be changing a lot in the years to come.
  22. well, I'd suggest that "gay ghettoes" are disappearing everywhere. Here in DC the gay ghetto used to be Dupont Circle. Then the straights moved in because we had fixed it up so nicely. More and more re-development and "luxury" apartments followed. The younger generations don't seem interested in having a gayborhood or don't need one. They have their gay friends and straight friends and are more integrated. Gay bars are in decline everywhere. Everyone meets online or on apps. So, this isn't something limited to Thailand. It's just the way things are going. (And anyway those places highlighted aren't really where the local gays lived...it's just where they went to cater to gay sex tourists)
  23. there is also the section at bottom left that shows you all of the local guys. Did you try contacting any of them? I think there are the exhibitionists who like to show off for voyeurs like me, and then there are a lot more who aren't broadcasting who are there for other reasons.
  24. afraid muscular type isn't really my thing. but you just need to scrolls through whoever happens to be online at any particular time. Or scan through the guys who are located nearby in the bottom left-most section of the app
  25. I have not been able to install it on my Android tablet or my Chromebook, so it is phone only for me. Maybe it's not getting location data from your ipad? Like I mentioned I don't really use it for hookups, just for voyeurism...the video broadcasts are pretty great. In the video section if you click the little globe icon at top left you get a list of countries from which you can select broadcasters. Some must use VPNs because they will show as US or Australia when they are really in China or Indonesia. It's kind of interesting to see how these guys live. The variety of bathrooms around the world... I do worry a bit for all of these horny Indonesian guys though.
