Even in low season. I was there a few times a couple of weeks ago Sun-Mon-Tue nights. Full house each time. Mostly Asian customers.

On Friday and Saturday nights it is almost always standing room only after 11pm or so. Usually people are coming or going so they find some spot for you. But your probably right about Chinese Holiday. You will never go there and be the only customer. They pack the place most nights.

I'm a fixture in Soi Twilight when I'm in town. I know many of the boys so I don't have the issues many of you seem to have. X-size is above the pool hall and X-Boys is next to Banana Bar. At Fresh Boys you noticed you got many 10 baht coins in your change. It is why they sometimes charge an odd figure for drinks . I asked about it and they said many people don't want coins so the leave them. Really adds up at the end of the night.

I had always been a fan of Hero and Adonis as I had friends that worked there. I've wanted to go to Prince and just never found the time, till today. Was out and about and had some time to kill today. Took taxi and was quick trip over from Silom. Driver knew address and dropped me at front door. The minute you walk in the door, the boys jump to attention. Had a seat to start choosing. I see a boy waving his arms trying to get my attention and he did. He was the boy I used to see at Hero all the time. I took him as I knew what I would get. Boy has no limits. But I do so we work well together. As for other boys. I counted 18. Some were in rooms, so around 20 or so. Hot Hot Hot. I think I could be happy with any boy that was there. Someone for everyone. Maybe not true twink, but close to it and then up to muscle. I told my friend that I would see him again, but I wanted to try a couple of the other boys. We have known each other a long time, so he was ok with it. I just did an hour oil massage. I'm just coming off a little medical issue and wanted to start slow and see how it goes. I'll be back tomorrow and next day and massage work out fine. I feel a lot better now. Massage was 900, paid up front. I know some don't like to pay first, but I have no problem with it. Place is great. Very clean and spacious. I like the beds vs the tables. My friend told me the owner of Prince is going to re-open Hero. They haven't confirmed it yet, but the boys may be able to work in both places. It's supposed to open in a couple of months. If that is Thai time, probably after the first of the year. So an A+ for my first visit.

What airlines fly from SR and PP and BKK? You need to do a little research on your own. Does it really matter for flights that are 30 - 60 minutes? Just look for cheapest fare.

I have a great view of that building from my condo. I'm on 8th floor and can see it easly. Problem is I won't be back to Bangkok for another week.

I would have walked away from all this sillyness a long time ago. There are so many more important things going on in life. I can't even imagine why you think anybody here I cares about a couple of squabbling escorts.

There was definitely a gun drawn. Easy to see in the footage. Plus police said in the news conference the guard had a gun. Then the court extorted the 11k payment for charity. So in the end, you have a few 20 year old jerks acting badly and a corrupt system doing what the do best. Extort. Everybody looses. Except the media. Great for ratings.

I'm the wrong person to talk about restaurants. I don't like Thai food. I eat simple western when I go out. But I cook and eat many of my meals at my condo. Brazil has a very good restaurant scene. Both countries are equally good.

The beaches are 100% better than Pattaya. White sandy beaches. Lots of concessions . Sidewalk restaurants. Great eye candy.

Copacabana and Ipanema Beaches are great. There open oceans. Most of what you hear about bad wate are mostly landlocked lagoons and bays. The Saunas stay open till 11pm or so, but boys have usually made their money earlier in the evening and they head out earlier. Just not a lot of action as you get to closing. While saunas close earlier than Thailand, there are many bars and clubs where people head that just get going at midnight. But there is no question there are many more sex options in Thailand.

More English in Thailand than Brazil. Even in tourist areas.

I have met Gaybutton. He has lots of friends and I'm sure he doesn't need defending. He gave me a lot of tips on my first trip to Pattaya. I think Divinemadman has it right. So many people just don't read between the lines of post.

I have no problems when in Thailand. I don't live there permently, but spend months at a time. If you were going to move there and be lonely, why would you move there or stay there. Thailand may not be my home country, but I live pretty much the same life there as I do at my home in the US.

Does it really matter where you live. I lived in San Francisco and had up and down times. We all have different personalitys. Some people need to be surrounded by lots of people and lots of people are happy with a good book and into bed at 9pm. I don't think we can define loneliness for each other.

This all reminds me of my trip to Hanoi last March with my Vietnamese friend. We had an all day private tour. As we were dropped off at our hotel at the end of the day, I reached for my wallet to tip the tour guide. My friend grabbed my hand to stop me. He quietly yelled in my ear, No Tip. I said it was fine, we had a great day. He said. "This is Vietnam, no tip. In Thailand ok to tip, in Vietnam, no tip.

Right now it appears only Fresh Boys and Xsize are allowing non Thais. Hopefully the others are just waiting to see if anything happens when tea money is due.

I have a couple of Thai friends from Bangkok that stay there all the time and really like it.

I'm sure he is sleeping quite comfortably at night. He has a boy on either side of him.

Just as an aside...some of the posters here are familiar with the hotels in Rio. This week with the Olympics in town, the Atlantico Hotel is getting $550.00 per night. That used to cover a week.
