I had expected Soi Twilight to be fully back to normal when I arrived this week. But as Gerefan has just mention, it's not. Though I think it is close to normal. Outdoor music is toned down. This is good for conversation though. Indoor music is full Blast Shows are toned down. Less high energy dance numbers and haven't seen any fuck shows. Lady boys shows at DreamBoys has been toned done a bit. There is an Increase in boys on stage and customers. I think Hot Male and Banana Bar closing between 1 and 1:30 has surprised many customers. Wasn't long ago you could stay till 4am. I've been told the Soi is under a 100 day mourning period. Only 100 days will tell.

I feel like I was following you around. I was at Hot Male for awhile last night. Dropped by Dream Boys for most of the show. Stopped into Fresh Boys to say hi to friends. Ate at Maxis and closed out the night at Hot Male. For a Monday night there were a lot of people around. Hopefully the high season crowds are arriving.

I'm retired so no bosses. My parents passed on long ago. I have 2 sisters that know why I spend 6 months in Thailand. Again, everybody is different. If I was 30, maybe I would think differently, but pushing 70 what am I supposed to be afraid of if somebody knows I have sex in Thailand. Abidismaili I'm sorry everybody in your life wants to know what you do with your private time. . My friends and family are just happy to see me happy I still can travel and have some great trips. They don't question or judge me. I know of a few others that post that are very open to others. So even though you have problems, don't say we all do.

Don't always assume boys aren't getting tips because you didn't see it happen. Many customers tip very discreetly.

So...Hot boy told me he would only top that night and I said I needed a bit more. At least he was honest. I went back the next night and he saw me walk in and came right over. He sat with me and we had a drink. He asked if I wanted to take him with me . I said I did, but I wanted more than just a top. Actually I didn't want the top part at all. I'm not that demanding at this point in my life, but I want a little fun if I take a boy. Turns out he hadn't been feeling well for a couple of days and was topping only. I went back a week later, but he was visiting family and I was heading back to the US. I'll be back next weekend and see if he is still around.

I'm doing Philadelphia-Doha-Bkk soon . It's 5 hours faster than the usual Western routes I go. Price is almost the same . When there are fare sales Western routes can be much cheaper, but many people are now doing the eastern routings on the ME3 to SE Asia.

Japan coach is ok if you get the 787 with 2-4-2 seating. Cathay sometimes has prices in the $1500 range for premium economy Lax-Bkk. It's very tolerable.

Bangkok Post online went back to color pages today and True cable went back to full normal programming today.

San Francisco is probably the worst place to enter as a single male arriving from SE Asia. Many reports of confiscated computers. 60 minutes did a story about it a few years ago. I've been asked more than once, why do I go to Thailand so often. I just say I'm retired and it's a good place to vacation cheaply. It's never been escalated beyond that.

The only thing you are guilty of...lack of communication. You mention things didn't go quite the way you wanted, but you don't mention you ever specifically told boys what you expected. It will go your way if you talk to them upfront.

You have to communicate to boy how far you would like to go. As long as boy and you agree, the sky's the limit. Some boys will give you nothing, some boys will give you more than you handle.....all comes down to communication.
