Yes, it was at the SP immigration and on a JFK Delta I still intend to carry the old one with me. Visa, old passport vs new passport: I recently flew with Delta, and the process was surprisingly smooth. While all Americans at the counter were asked to present their Brazil visa check, the gate agent was completely fine with my new passport and never even asked for my old one. I still keep both passports as a backup, but I didn’t encounter any issues when I presented them at the Brazil counter either. They simply stated that I didn’t need my old passport. Lagoa Thermas: It was just as fun as ever on a Wednesday night. There were plenty of new faces joining the regular crowd, and the quality was pretty good in my opinion..... I met this newcomer from Recife — a gorgeous guy, very slim, with a swimmer’s body. ShowBar Oficial at Madureira: I finally found this place. The entrance is pretty funny; once you have the address or number, it’s a long corridor from the street to the door. It’s a tiny sex place, but when I went, there weren’t many people, so I can’t say how busy it gets. From what I saw, it’s probably not your muscle-boy kind of spot — more like a next-door mulatos kind of place.When you walk in, there’s a tiny booth to pay the entrance fee. Right after, there’s a small bar that takes up the entire space. To your left, there’s a small room with a TV playing porn. Beyond that, there are a couple of dark rooms. Since the place was pretty empty when I arrived, I left after a few minutes — not much to report. I might check it out again on another trip. Black Cat Lounge Bar  This was a new spot for me. It opened pretty late, starting at 11 pm, with interactives at 1 am and 3 am. Since it’s close to Copacabana Beach, it was easy to get to. I really liked it because it’s a nonGP place that’s also a bar and dance club, not too big, with a younger crowd, mostly in their 20s to 30s. I was one of the few older guys, but I didn’t feel out of place or excluded, which was a big plus.
The place is very, very loud — if you’re sensitive to loud music, I’d avoid it. But I didn’t mind; it added to the vibe, especially since the main purpose of the space is the dark room. It’s not that dark, though — there are some interesting stairs leading up to a larger, darker area. That upstairs section has sections that are pitch black and is non-stop sex, no invitations needed. 
I had a lot of fun. dance club / dark room place with so many guys in their 20s, I was a bit cautious at first. But after about half an hour, I was already having a great time upstairs. l’ll definitely go back on my next trip. Here’s the Twitter/X account with a pretty accurate layout of the place — I recommend checking it out to get a sense of how everything is set up. That was quite a long report — I wish I had more details, but everything’s a bit mixed up in my mind. Next stop: Montreal. I don’t have big expectations since Stock Bar has gone downhill, and Taboo isn’t what it used to be. I hope Campus is still fun to hang out at, though.
 
   

When I am there I am so distracted by the boys that I do not really pay attention to walls painting, but I am quite confident this is not entirely true. They have not gone through major renovations, like Pointe has, but I think they have done several decorative updates. 
I do not see the point of arguing whether or not 117 has had busier times than nowadays. I am just arrived, and I have to check this myself, but several locals tell me that while Pointe has only one busy day, of course Wednesday, 117 is quite busy everyday. Of course not as busy as Tuesdays, but I am told that they have a decent amount of hot boys any day of the week.
Also, I am just learning that now 202 is offering free cabins on Fridays. I still have to see that.

These were the airbnb's I stayed at. The 1st one was the most recent. It was okay for the time i stayed there good location if your focus is to go to the beach alot. The 1st one is located a block away from the second one. So same neighborhood. The one hosted by Home Stay was nice. It had a good enough kitchen and bathroom. Why I said that is a kitchen without a oven is never good. Atleast have an airfryer if you dont have an oven. The bathroom didnt have a tub. The other thing was even though the airbnb looks like the picture. It did not have enough seating area and the seats it did have seemed alittle flimsy. But for a place that I could bring back every boy from the beach, sauna, street, or club. Was perfect never got push back at anytime of day and night. The biggest draw back is people above this appartment had dogs. I tune dogs out because I have two Huskies. IF you know you know. So a small dog barking was like nothing. But it can be annoying when watching tv late afternoon or night. The other Airbnb Hosted by Maicon was better because it was roomier in the living area. In both cases I was able to have people over.
