The spas & massage places can be very discrete.   You can be stood outside one and there are often no signs or other indications of activity.

It's certainly not a case of walking down the street in central Yangon and seeing loads of them.

 

Keeping Blued open as you move around town seems to work well.   I accidentally found a lad who was a candidate for best massage boy experience I've had, whilst out unsuccessfully trying to find another massage shop.  Travelling to that part of Yangon bought me within range of him on Blued, so he contacted me.  

Despite the attraction of very diligent massage boys, I'd need to do quite a bit of research before going back to Yangon.   Considerations like safety, flights and even what businesses are open would need to be taken into account.   Even 2.5 years ago, one had to be quite selective to find acceptable food & coffee etc.   If there have been a few closures, that aspect might be far below expectations.   Even in January 2020, the first 3 meals I had after crossing to Mae Sot were better than anything experienced in 2 weeks in Myanmar.   

There is then the ethical consideration. The Myanmar regime seems to be by far the worst in ASEAN, but on the other hand some of the others aren't exactly shining examples of democracy.
