River of Lost Footsteps is part memoir, part history of Burma. His recent book "The Hidden History of Burma" deals more with what happened in the last 20 years or so. The entire story is pretty complex. The paperback version with a new epilogue came out just after the coup. The balloon trip in Bagan is absolutely spectacular. According to the captain of the balloon I was on we were lucky the day I went that the winds were light so it lasted about 1:15 instead of the usual 45 minutes or so. It's expensive but totally worth it...if it's ever possible to do again.

July 28, 20215 yr This numbering system seems a bit odd - goes 5,6,7 and then not 8,9 but two more 7’s. So on contacting NL Spa wanting massage boy 7 you would not be sure who,you would get. Or am I being pedantic here ?. Anyway my choice would be 7b (the guy with the globe and what could be travel vouchers), although I don’t think a foreign travel would be possible for the average Myanmar citizen.

July 28, 20215 yr Not only do the pics include a lot of sexy Myanmar guys, they remind me of the subtle--and sometimes not so subtle--delightful differences between the men of Southeast Asia. They are all gorgeous in their own way. That's one of the advantages that Bangkok enjoyed over its neighbors. On any given evening, you could get up close and personal with a sampling of wonderful representatives of just about all of those countries without having to leave Patpong and environs. It served as the ASEAN of hot guys with no additional visa stamp required.
July 29, 20215 yr Yes a-447 when the glorious day arrives when we can get back to SE Asia I think there will be an influx of members of this board into Myanmar and in particular visiting the NL Spa. to experience their gorgeous massage boys either in house or preferably back at the hotel. I have no recollection of having a Myanmar guy in my bed during the last 20 years but maybe I have not been sufficiently educated to be able to make the distinction between them and the vast majority of my boys from Isaan and Cambodia. August 3, 20215 yr Number 15 of the last batch is definitely my favourite, even though he doesn’t appear completely naked. In his first picture he’s wearing a tee shirt with the Union Jack on the underside, which probably means he prefers Brit customers !. He poses with shelves containing objects which also appear in other NL Spa pictures. As to whether we will ever meet these gorgeous boys who knows but I hope it’s soon. I see the telephone numbers - perhaps one of our number could make the call and tell them how much we would like to meet them.
