And I delighted in many who populated the stage back in 2019 and earlier. Those were the days of Babe and company. How many of these guys will return is another matter. Here's what I still think of when anyone mentions this venue, and probably always will. But what I craved about Bangkok in those same days was the immense diversity of young men that filled the bars, clubs and massage shops. They converged from all over SE Asia on that tiny Silom-Surawong rectangle. And there was no place else I preferred to be. To me, that diversity is no better represented than by Eagle guy. He's not the most handsome nor does he have the most muscular body. But he typifies the diaspora who found their way to that triangle and--with the same desire and good fortune--will do so again in the year ahead.

September 27, 20214 yr Active Members I was trying to locate a couple of these spas that Vessey has taken the time to post these superb photos from. I wanted to see where these spas are in relation to the areas I visited during my trip to Yangon and Bagan a number of years ago. As I was looking at the satellite image of 165 Street in Yangon, look what somebody has painted in white on the street in large block letters in English. "We Want Democracy".

September 27, 20214 yr The most common trait I see that Fear of God guy shares with Andrew Yang is their genuine, engaging smile. Maybe the young man will become the better politician of the two and help steer his country in a direction different from the one the junta has imposed on its people. For never was there more of a need for a change. The Spa Boys series is such a welcome relief from all the disheartening news coming out of Myanmar. It doesn't alter the facts on the ground but it reminds us of the humanity and beauty that exits that coexists with the extreme greed and repression of its rulers.

January 13, 20224 yr spent some time following links on Twitter today and it is astounding how many of these spas there are! Looks like most of them are in Yangon or Mandalay which I suppose makes sense. Given the current state of things I don't know how they stay in business

February 1, 20224 yr I wish. When I was on Twitter the other day I noticed that one of these spas had their prices listed and the price was 12000 mmk which is less than US$6. I really feel sad about what's happened to Myanmar over the past year - today is the anniversary of the coup.
