Yeah, I think it wouldn't make any sense for a tourist to visit at this point. I know the US State Department is always very cautious but their "do not travel" advice seems correct. It's a decade now since I visited. Things were just starting to get better then and I think there was a huge change since then. And now that's all been thrown away. But it's fun to fantasize about these beautiful boys.

I don't know how it works in other countries, but if you go to places where the UK Foreign Office advises against travel, then the standard UK travel insurance policies are usually invalid.
