Hey there. Visiting Sao Paulo until Jan 10th, and then Rio until early February. I'm in my late 30s. Will be fun to check out some saunas with other fellow travelers!

A bit long shot but I am trying to find the name and address of a non-GPs sauna in RJ that opens till 5/6am (or was it 24 hours). RJ is lacking late night venues compared to say SP or BH. I have been there once or twice but I can't remember the name/location. If I remember correctly the name has a number on it (maybe). Found it last time with Google but it seems to disappear now. I hope it didn't close down.
It is an old 2 floors old rundown building in some sort of residential area (I saw some street trade/guys cruising outside at wee hours in the morning). Ground floor has a big sitting area, small steam and dry sauna. Upstairs has a few rooms and one of the bigger serves as a porn theatre. Young and after office hour worker crowd.

Or if anyone knows a place ... cine/sauna/cruise club that opens late or 24 hours in RJ.

Anyways, I'll be in Brazil for the whole month of April 2023 (SP, BH and RJ)

It's called Sauna 29 or something at 29 R. Prof. Alfredo Gomes in Botafogo. From the google street view, it seems to be closed (with sale sign board).

G Spa in Rio can be good too if you’re interested in non-GP.  I don’t think it is open 24 hours though.  I have been twice.  The first time I went, the place was filled with 20-something Cariocas, a shockingly large portion of which were interested in me (now 40 ughh but still somewhat fit, very mediocre Portuguese, white).  When I went back a few days later though, it was still fun but it was no longer filled with 20-something.  Promotions/day of the week probably greatly influence the clientele present or at least that is what I suspect.

Yes I have been to G Spa Rio before. Like most saunas in RJ, the operating time is similar so I would rather go to 202/117 or maybe Sauna Carioca in the weekend for their naked theme event.  

I am looking for a place to hang/chill after 202/117 and maybe have some fun.

That's the key.  You will be amazed how desirable whites are in North/Central/South America.

My info is pre-COVID so it might be outdated.

You can checkout the sauna's events here Home - Sauna Carioca. They are usually in the weekends. 

Better crowd compared to G Spa; less attitude and more friendly.

I do not disagree with you.  Non-GPs on Grindr respond to me when I am in Brazil that would probably not be interested in me were the interaction taking place here in the States.  I am a huge fan of this phenomenon, especially since I am generally not into other tall white boys (especially ones with a few grey hairs like me) anyway.  I like mixed, if that makes any sense.  It doesn’t have to be the “mixed” that Brazil has in spades though.  One of the hottest guys that I have ever been with was this half Japanese half Russian guy that lived in NYC.

I 90% certain I will be in Rio on the second and third week of April. Send me a PM if you are going to be around.

I am waiting for a few weeks to buy the tickets. They are damn expensive.
