I was never brave enough to accept them but my friend started a 20 year relationship with a teenage Tunisian lad he met while we were drinking at an outside bar. After a few years the guy suggested my friend buy a house in Sousse as a love nest for them when my friend was visiting. But he didn't mention that he had got a Tunisian girl pregnant out of marriage and the girl's brothers had threatened him and forced him to marry the girl so he needed a house to live in. That led to a falling out between the guy and my friend but they resumed after a few months. Once I was in a back street in Sousse and a lad, about 16 years old, surrounded by younger boys, said hello and suggested, in English, that 'I try gay sex' and that one of his friends would look out for the police. I thanked him for the idea and kept walking. Quote
