Olddaddy Posted August 19 Posted August 19 I don't think Alice Springs would be my favourite City being rated number 1 as Australia's crime capital 😯🥷🥷 But .....it could be the exciting for us older Gay men,has cruising places around Ayers Rock/Uluru I'm sure 😃 and maybe plenty of local indigenous communities people I worked out to Sydney to Alice Springs .....is the same time equivalent of going from Sydney to Bangkok hence why I wouldn't waste my time Quote
Olddaddy Posted August 19 Posted August 19 Could we get back on topic please !! We shouldn't be talking about the Outback Australian city of The Alice , 🦘 Do you think Grindr has many sexy guys in that city , probably farmer rugged types ? Big beefy strong guys I wonder if the Aboriginal peoples are on Grindr 😃 Wasn't that famous Aussie transexuals movie made there ? Priscilla Queen of the Desert 🏝️ pong2 and vinapu 1 1 Quote

Kiwi306 Posted August 19 Posted August 19 Really, Olddaddy, I have flown from Sydney to Bangkok. It takes 9 1/2 hours - roughly 6 hours longer than to Alice Springs. Quote

Do you have your own DC3 that requires refuelling? Because Qantas says the flight time is 3 hrs. 20 mins. Now that fits almost exactly with @Kiwi306's estimate of 3 hrs. 30 mins. Quote

Jimmy's reply was "it rhymes better"! Olddaddy and floridarob 1 1 Quote

Popular Post forrestreid Posted August 19 Popular Post Posted August 19 Getting even more back to topic of Chiang Mai...If somebody was planning on travelling to Chiang Mai in the near future, he could do worse than to read Shamelessmack's record of his visit there last December. He writes about it on his blog, https://shamelessmacktwo.travel.blog/ Open the blog and search for Chiang Mai. It will bring up four or five entries, covering his adventures in places such as Circle pub, Adam Club and the Acqua Club massage. He gives you quite a good idea of what you will get from the places. fedssocr, Olddaddy, PeterRS and 2 others 3 2 Quote
jimmie50 Posted August 19 Author Posted August 19 I thoroughly enjoy reading shamelessmack's travel blog. I did read all of the posts about Chiang Mai as well as many others. Unfortunately, he hasn't updated his site since May and I haven't seen any posts by him on this site recently, either. Hope he is ok. pong2, vinapu and PeterRS 2 1 Quote

Nowadays, I take the slower route and use the bus from Suvarnabhumi Airport via the train system To be fair to Mike’s taxi, unsafe drivers are everywhere. Thais have their own ways of calculating and managing risk and safety. That was my one and only bad experience with Mike’s taxi. What put me off them was no response to the feedback I sent. That motivated me to look elsewhere…. floridarob 1 Quote

So after years of using them, I decided it's time to let go. Stick mostly with Nam taxi & the bus nowadays. floridarob, pong2 and Olddaddy 1 2 Quote
