New Map of Silom Area from Shamelessmack

I see that Shamelesmack (or Macaroni as he is known on this Forum) is back posting on his blog, and he has put up an updated set of maps of the Silom Area on his blog.

Always handy to consult before you travel, he has a subtle colour coding for the massage places that is particularly useful.

I wonder if not mentioning DJ Station or GOD was a conscious choice.

It was probably just that he didn;t go into that Soi.

He said about the map that:

Please understand that I am primarily making this map to support the blog articles here, showing where the mentioned places are. I am not trying to create an exhaustive map of all places of interest for any and all gay men out there (I don’t have the time). I also adopt the principle that if I have not visited a place, or at least seen the front of it, I won’t include it – it’s my way of verification.

Very helpful, though the massage places like Green and  Avarin, etc, should not be bright red, as they have just as many female masseuses, as male. I know you can get lucky, I did(!), but they are, I think, really foot massage shops, with some extras. Certainly the clientela is mixed.

Maps like these are really helpful. I didn't know about Nature Boys and Super A. Are they gogos like Fresh boys or a bit different? Are they worth a visit on my next trip?

I didn't know there was a Voco hotel there now. I stayed at one in Japan and liked it very much.

I'd say low key go-go. as for being worth visiting , you are only person who can assess it for yourself. Certainly they have offable , next door type of boys there

Unless they've changed, I'd say high sleaze go-go. You won't find Chinese tour parties visiting them 😲

I haven't  been there for some time, but I agree high sleaze. Were rather run down, with twinks, and you could get a blow job at the bar! Perhaps not now....

I recently saw this on google maps and I remember seeing the construction site there for quite a while. It's available on all the booking platforms and I was wondering why there were no reviews yet, but the IHG site has no availability until December 15. Seems like another option of accomodation for all of us! Quite nicely located, near Le Meridien and across the street from Soi Than Tawan.

Yes, you are correct, it's the old Tawana Hotel on Surawong.  It's a renovation.  Last spring, one of the hotel booking sites was showing the Tawana's status as under renovation, and open early 2026.

with rooms well over 100 $ I will not be inclined to look if they have reservations available,

Voco Bangkok Surawong is slated to open at the end of this year apparently (no actual date just a stab in the dark by the looks) and looking at their prices for June ($189 Australian) it will be a pass for me.
