It is located in the shop that was the Golden Cock bar for many years. You may know Benjamin Hart from his Youtube videos, focusing on legal issues affecting farang. He is the managing director of Integrity Legal in Bangkok. Also, Stickman has endorsed the Pancake Palace, and the link is below. Endorsement is at 1:32 in the second video. Yes, I met the owner, who was out here in Pattaya to present at the PCEC (Pattaya City Expats Club). Afterwards, I had some questions that he graciously helped me to obtain answers to and he told me to stop by his Pancake Palace the next time I was in BKK. https://www.facebook.com/pancakepalacebkk If I remember correctly, it was when @emiel1981 was visiting Pattaya and I accompanied Emiel to BKK. It has typical American (International House of Pancakes) type of food. So, if you are familiar with IHOP (https://www.ihop.com/en) then you will probably enjoy it. The day I was there, Ben (the owner of Integrity Legal and has a Youtube channel of the same name where many of his Youtube videos were posted here in our gayguides forum) - passed through and I got to meet his Thai wife. I did not not have the heart to tell Ben that his wife's Pancake Palace was most likely the site of the former famous Golden Cock bar. macaroni21 Posted June 22 Posted June 22 I enjoy the occasional pancake, though I'm not quite familiar with iHop. The problem I now have is that American serving sizes have grown too large for me. Over the years, I have been cutting down on sugar and now each time I eat something that to normal people is normal sweet, I find it unpalatably sweet. I can put up with a small serving but even with a normal sized serving, e.g. a standard wedge of cake, I start feeling sick (not always, but often enough to deter me from ordering anything sweet). Do you remember if this shop's pancakes are stacked 4-high or 6-high? Or some formidable number? Quote

The slices of banana in the photo reminded of the last time I ordered one of those crepe things sold at night markets with banana fillings. I couldn't finish it. I felt sick halfway, and threw the rest of it away. Has anyone else also seen their tastebuds get intolerant of sweet? Quote

I caught my mistake almost as soon I hit Post, then tried to edit it, but I received the error message that I was past the edit time window. It was no more than 3 or 4 seconds. Quote

I grew up eating really sugary desserts with very large servings. In Japan I learnt that desserts don't need so much sugar, and that smaller sizes are enough. With less sugar the dessert has more flavour. In Japan the higher the number of calories, the smaller the serve. Makes sense to me. I wish someone would open up a dessert cafe in Perth which sold products with less sugar and in smaller serves. I'd be there every day. When in Bangkok I always hang out at the Japanese dessert cafes downstairs in Siam Paragon, along the canal. macaroni21 1 Quote
