No big sweat on this occasion, even giving us an entertaining thread, but if there is a loophole/vulnerability allowing new members to join and then spam all the members it might be better to close this door going forward.

The obvious loopholes are the "who's online" and "last logged in members" sections on the main page, which make it very easy for a spammer to harvest usernames without having to read posts.

I know forums where you first have to participate via the normal posts before you are able to send DMs. Not saying that it is "the" solution, but it seems like "a" solution.
