all bars are closed tonight Saturday

Hi all,

Just went by Silom and all the bars are closed.  Does anyone know what happened some kind of raid?

Seems like the straight bars are open.  I really wanted to go by Fresh boys.   oh well next time.

Alcohol is banned due to pre elections tomorrow.

oh i see interesting that the straight ones are open.  That does make sense since they probably make the most money from the alcohol sales

It's due to the upcoming general elections. Alcohol sales are prohibited from 6 PM 31 January 2026 to 6 PM 1 February 2026 for advance voting and again from 6 PM 7 February 2026 to 6 PM 8 February 2026 for Polling Day. 

I feel like having an orange all of a sudden. I just love oranges. 🍊❤️😉

Many countries do this.... they should try once serving alcohol and see if better/worse people get elected 🤷‍♂️
