I need to learn to ride a bike

Featured Replies

I'm sick of hiring 🛵 taxis and Grab cars 🚖

I want to learn how to ride a 🏍️ bike

How many of you rent a bike when your on holidays in Thailand?

I would love to "ride like the wind "🏍️🏍️💨

Is it easy to learn ?

Oh Olddaddy,

Please be very very careful about this decision.

I mainly ride a rented motorbike on the small islands (Koh Samet, Koh Larn, Koh Larn, etc.) because the traffic is not intense.

I will also drive around Jomtien on a motorbike, but I almost never venture into Pattaya City on my motorbike - as it is too intense for my liking.

Too many people that I know have been injured over the years on their motorbikes - so at a minimum, please take a motorbike lesson or 2 before you rent one - unless of course one of your many personalities is already an experienced motorbike rider 🏍🛵🏍🛵

I often ride a motorcycle at home (I’ve been doing it for over 40 years). I’ve ridden my enduro through Africa and the Middle East. I consider myself an experienced motorcyclist. But in Thailand, I only rent a bike on quiet islands. It would never occur to me to ride a bike in Bangkok or Pattaya. Maybe I’m just getting older (and/or wiser) 😉
