Siem Reap hotel recommendation

Hi all. Currently planning for an upcoming trip to SR and browsing hotels. Viroth's Hotel seems to be favourably mentioned and I am also curious about Men's resort - does it have the same kind of vibe as Arthur and Paul in PP? Any other hotels I should check out? Cheers!

I have frequently  stayed at Viroth's, gay friendly, close to centre, great service.  However I think that they are now overcharging for what you get. Rooms are nice, retro, but somewhat basic, and in high  season, can be US$350,or more if you have a suite. Big selling point is that it is small, 32 rooms i think, with a big swimming pool. I am going to try a new hotel 2 blocks away, Angkor  Village Hotel, looks much more luxurious, and cheaper, and a member of the 'Small Luxury Hotels of the World' . Due there end September. Not been to Arthur and Paul.

@vinapurecommended to me Royal Crown hotel.... I'd stay there again, which is the biggest compliment I can give to a hotel, reasonable price, good location, great staff, I didn't have any problems with visitors, but sure I'd had less traffic than Auntie Vin 😁

here is my short review from that trip

I like to stay at Rambutan

Thanks for all your recommendations - will add them to the list of considerations!

I'd add King's Rock Boutique, in the same area Royal Crown is, good breakfast and small pool. Last trip I stay in Chaetata CTA, less fancy than those above but close to the bars and had all one needs, all for less than 30 $.

I recommend Men's. True, it's not at the center, but 5 mnts and $2 with ruk tuk takes care of the problem.

The vibe is similar to A&P's; in-hotel masaage unofficially includes hanky panky; and action can b had at facilities near the pool.

Thank you, will consider!

I will be in Cambodia 9/5-12/2, but most of that time will be spent in Battambang.  We do plan on staying in Siem Reap for a couple of weeks towards the end of my visit.  I actually booked accommodations for both places through Airbnb, although that was quite challenging in Battambang.  Not many places listed there to choose from, but found a good number of decent places in Siem Reap.  You might want to check out Airbnb.
