Is there a problem adding photos after the latest "update"?

Working for me on a PC. The "Drag files here to attach, or choose files..." prompt is still there when replying. I'll add a photo below to test it.

I'm not getting the prompt. Maybe I need to log in and log out?

No, I logged in and out and it's still happening. If I want to attach a photo, I have to find a hosting site and just send the link of the photo from the other site.

I posted the 7-Eleven photo from a saved photo on my PC, no hosting site link required. For me, nothing has changed.

Maybe your browser or device is having an issue with the new board update??

May I humbly add that I am not a fan of the new site though. It used to be easy to access and browse the forum from my phone, and view multiple post subject lines in one screen. While it was a basic layout it was straightforward. Now the display, additional pictures and text previews has made it much harder to navigate.

Agreed, the new layout isn’t great

I can't find a way to regain the way to get that box on the bottom which says "Drag files here to attach, or choose files..." I've tried Chrome, Firefox, and Edge. I'm open to any other suggestions.

I did find a work-around. The option to attach a photo comes up if, and only if, I edit a post I already made. So I just have to post one word, then when I edit the post, the option to attach a photo comes up again. Weird, but that's the way it is, at least for now.

I asked the Internet what might be the cause. There are several possibilities.

One option is to clear your browser's cache and cookies. But since the problem happens on multiple browsers, this may not work for your issue.

Another answer I found is the upload option may automatically disappear when a user crosses a certain quota. This would answer why you experience the same issue on all browsers.

There were several other potential fixes listed. You might try sleuthing the Internet for answers.

Did you try opening a new account to confirm the issue is not account related? Not sure if this is against the rules, multiple account profiles.

I tried opening a new account because i am having log-in issues, but it wouldnt allow me to because it says that "the email address you enter is already in use".... Of course it is, by my original screename Suckrates, so unless I somehow create a new email (which I dont want to) I cant create a new account.

I use different emails for different needs, such as security level.

I see Unicorn has found a solution.
