A new Japanese-style onsen is opening next week, with a soft opeing tomorrow. Unlike the still relatively new Yunomori Onsen on Sathorn Soi 10, this one is only for guys. On the other hand, unlike Yunomori which opens at 10:00 am and closes around midnight, Kaikan Onsen will be open from mid-afternoons till the early morning hours. Whether that means there will be any action I do not yet know. I have also been told the owner operates at least one gay sauna. So it may be worth a visit. I have had more than a few of these over the years. Often the guys are shy and need direction. However, last night, I had two amazing guys that were simply perfect with each other and want I wanted. The Japanese discounter Don Don Donki has opened a large outlet on Silom Road at the mouth of Soi Thaniya. Two floors are crammed with almost anything you might need and it’s open 24/7. I took a quick walk through and was amazed at the variety. Food, beer, liquor, a ramen bar, housewares, socks, a noodle bar. It can all be found in the jammed narrow aisles occupying two floors.

The golf is not what you expect and each ball has a microchip that follows your hit and it plays Angry Birds while playing (and other games). The food there is excellent. The fun is contagious. Devilish Eats is now my favorite restaurant in Thailand. Their food is amazing and the service is excellent. I found them on Food Panda and ordered from them 40 times before trekking to the restaurant. The restaurant is beautiful and comfortable. For Thanksgiving, they cooked an entire turkey for our group and all the fixings included. For Christmas, the owner decorated up the way my southern aunts decorate and even the utensils had a stocking holder. However, it is not just the attention to detail that makes me like the place.
